What would make somebody making that kind of money, jeopardize all that she had. Especially the blatant way she did it, involving so mnay people. Could it be possible she was being pressured from her boss? It's very strange. From what I have read in past articles about this story, she was protecting someone else's job. What's that all about? Was it funky? Was it her lover's job or the son of her lover? Where was her supervisor to not have known something was amiss with this going on for several months and involving 20+ kids.

What an example for children. Professional conduct standards in public schools demand much more. Would this not be in violation of the law? Suspension is too light. Conduct a thorough investigation and termination at a minimum would be more fitting.

Just another example of the HORRIBLE administrators throughout Palm Beach County! If you can't teach go to Nova, get your joke administration degree and you can become an administrator!! If you're a minority it's even easier. The entire system needs revamping.

Want to save money, 1/2 size the district headquarters and make the incompetent Principals and Assisitants accountable or throw them out of the profession.

Ah, you forget the was the princiPAL, an administrator.

Don't you know that administrators are untouchables?

It is only the LOWLY ONES that get fired: teachers, aides, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, maintenance workers.

Let's see and figure this out:

Jupiter HS former principal Nessmith did NOT rehire a teacher/coach because he did not keep receipts of expenditures.

BUT this Principal Johnson, who LIED
about the number of students in her school (purportedly to keep an assistant principal (kid of a good old boy principal from the old days),
and told teachers to give those imaginary students grades only gets a 20 days suspension without pay!!!!!

Alot of inequity in the school district.

Principal Gwen Johnson LIED: to the school district, to the State. She claimed money for her school that she was not entitled to. Isn't that stealing, fraud?

Understand the Area Superintendent "retired"; former area administrator has been placed elsewhere.

And let us not forget that PrinciPAL Gwen Johnson will continue to receive her $90,000 salary while working elsewhere in the district.

This PrinciPAL should be forced to retire. She has her 30 years of service. She does not need to continue in DROP. DROP can end at ANYTIME.

This is blatant favortisim. This school system should rid the district of ANY personnel that casts shadows.

Well, let's see: the school district can NOT afford raises for teachers and cops, but at least two former princiPALS: G Johnson and K Harris (of Boynton HS) are going to be sitting at the district office collecting their salary and biding their time until they can "retire".

Ain't it grand that taxpayers get to foot that bill?

The school board cries we have no money, but keeping unneeded administrators around until the administrators decide it's time to retire.

The good old administrators protect their own and leave any other groups to fight for themselves.

Watch, not a school board member will challenge this (and certainly not Robinson).

Vote out INCUMBENTS:

Monroe Benaim

Carrie Hill

Mark Hansen

Time to re-organize. Time to change the broken system.

This is out-right favortism of administrators.

If this had been a teacher, the teacher would be fired.

Hey, Jupiter area vote in a candidate that will keep your neighborhood schools intact, will provide fair treatment of ALL employees; not just preferential treatment for administrators.

Something is WRONG with the school system.

OF COURSE nothing will happen to her... she's a PrinciPAL! Just like David Samore at Okeeheelee Middle when he put a fake gun to a kid's head. Slap on the wrist- WITH PAY! All hell would break loose if a teacher did that. Hell, all a teacher needs to do is breathe wrong and it makes national headline news... but not the principals or other district administrators!

If a teacher falsifies school records in order to get more money for a school club he or she sponsors, that teacher will lose their job. Teachers are given this warning at the beginning of every school year. Apparently this policy doesn't apply to administrators.

Art Johnson is a sham...he approves a $1,000,000 driveway for an elementary school and then says there is no money for teacher raises. He waives the community service hours requirement for graduation at the end of the school year in order to keep the graduation rate from dropping. Now, he comes up with the brutal 20-day suspension for a principal who faked student enrollment and grades. If Johnson had any integrity, the principal would be forced to resign.

Can't believe she is getting a slap on the wrist. Who could respect her now? Parents, teachers, students? How can she discipline a child for lying when she does it on a grand scale? Fire her butt, she doesn't deserve the job.

Florida Statute 838.022(1)(a)
It is unlawful for a public servant, with corrupt intent to obtain a benefit for any person or to cause harm to another, to:
Falsify, or cause another person to falsify, any official record or official document
3) Any person who violates this section commits a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
She is a public servant who falsified and/or ordered others to falsify a public record for the benefit of another (the administrator who kept his job via falsly inflated enrollment). She committed a felonious act, regardless if Art Johnson decided not to prosecute it. Now, let's see if anyone on the Board votes to merely suspend someone for committing a felony.

Change the composition of the school board.

Stop making excuses for people. They should suffer what they wrought.

A teacher could NOT get away with this, but an administrator can.

All those administrators who have gotten into "trouble" are at the district office. There is an overload. Too much money is being spent on principals and other administrators at the district office.

No money for teachers and police. Though the police have been rather quiet lately, what's up?

There is money for raises. There are plenty of employees being hired and "stashed" at the district office, the TAJ.

Teachers wake up.

Stop being patsies.

Stop allowing this district's administrators to bully you (there is a bullying policy in affect, right??@!?).

Stop fearing for your job (they can't let you go...kids have to be educated).

Speak up, take the time to attend meetings and SUPPORT those that are advocating for you.

Organize your school's teachers to go to a school board meeting and put in a card to speak.

SPEAK UP or accept what the district's negotiators want to give you: nothing!

Teachers, you KNOW that health benefits will increase...make sure you speak up.

Teachers, you KNOW you are paying higher prices for gas...make sure you speak up.

Teachers, you KNOW you are paying higher prices for food....make sure you speak up.

Teachers, you KNOW you are working harder...make sure you speak up.

Teachers, you know school board members are paid $40,000(more than a beginning teacher)and board members vote YES for THEIR raise.

Teachers, you know the allocades this district has received (how many times have you heard Art Johnson list them and every school board member mention them) well, YOU, teachers did the work and this school district is NOT responding to show their commitment to YOU.

Teachers, compare salaries with the other "urban district schools...Miami, Broward and see the comparison.

Email the school board members.

Email Dr. Johnson

Support your representatives, there is NO ONE else working for you.

Vote out incumbent school board members: Benaim, Hansen, Hill which ever one represents your area.

Please explain to me how falsifying records to get money from the state
PLUS directing staff to award grades to students never present equals a 20 day suspension. Was the now missing Area Super involved? What about the Assistant Principal who knew and went along with it? Certainly there is more to this story. Exactly why is this person still trusted? Afraid of a large scandal exposing more of the story? How is her action different from embezzlement? Keep this woman away from my children.

Lie to get 168,000 minus 90,000/12
(SALARY/NUMBER OF MONTHS)=
168,000 MINUS 7,500 = 160,500 DOLLARS
profit. Will the district promote this money-maker in times of budget cuts? Isn't this a crime?
Tell me its a bad dream,
Don't worry about your child being near the lady. You can get Cs at the school for not even attending.

If this had been a teacher he/she would be gone already. I do not know this principal -- but what I do know is that there are different rules for different employees. I think it is time for Ms. Johnson to retire and enjoy all the money we paid her.
