This past saturday [march 30, 2007] a pole and powerline that were being replaced fell on Hwy 44W in Crystal River and almost killed me and my family as it fell on top off my motorhome. The motorhome caught fire and I was able to stop the fire. What a choice: Jump out with live wires all arouond us or burn in a fire?
What do I get for compensation?

the public is told we need a rate hike to pay for hurricane damage. i think this ceo could have paid for the damage without a rate hike. he should be ashamed of himself. i wonder if he contributes to the fpl program that helps those who can't pay their electric bill?

No man is worth that kind of money. Even the president of the US doesn't make that kind of money. Something is wrong with this place. We all pay this piece of crap's bonus.

If you want to screw FPL just like they're scewing us, use these guys:

http://renu.citizenre.com/

These guys are basically a power company. They come to your house and install solar panels for free. They even do all the maintenance and upkeep for free.

The way they make money is they charge you a flat rate for every kilowatt the panels produce. Their rate is either the same as your current FPL rate or cheaper and unlike FPL the rate never changes.(Unlike oil or coal, the cost of the sun's energy is free so it never changes).

The way you screw FPL is that this company ties the solar power directly into FPL's power grid to offset the electricity FPL generates for your house, which in turn lowers the amount of electricity FPL produces for your house, and wich in turn lowers the amount of money you give FPL.

It's simple. Instead of getting one bill you'll get two; One from the solar company and the other from FPL.

You save money, you screw FPL, it raises property value and it's eco friendly. I don't work for them but I think it's an awesome concept it's definitely going to take off.

I wouldn't say a word if they wouldn't continue to cry about how they need rate hikes to pay for fuel cost and Hurricane relief and then pay a CEO $9.5 million. Taking advantage of people with a MONOPOLY due to a natural disaster is criminal.
