I totally agree with you! The cops here in Mayville Wisconsin are terrible. Two cops were having affairs with other woman and were both caught and the police chief made one to resign and covered up for the other cop, eventually making him "Captain" His nickname is Spooky!! What does that tell ya?? Mayville's PD are disrespectful, dishonest and very sneeky! Watch out!

You got that right! They constantly harass people with no good reason. Also why does a city of 5,000 need 10 officers? Fire half of 'em... that'll free up some money in the city budget!

The Common Council finally got smart and terminated 2 Jr cops in this town saving the city $141.00 a year. Now we need the "chief" of police ( Hitler) to retire. What an ass!! Him and his sidekick MacNeil

First get your facts straight! Secondly learn how to spell! I do not think they would release two officers for $141.00. The real question is why do so many people who do not even live in that town worry about what is happening. I see Beaver Dam and Milw. My guess you do not even pay property taxes in the city of Mayville.

I grew up in Mayville and see the same things going on now what was happening back then. It's hilarious when they have to anything. They call backup from surrounding cities and the county for everything. These newbe's should start somewhere, where they actually have to work. I understand some of them have to stay close to home so their mommies can change their diapers. LOL!!! I commend who was in charge of getting rid of two cops and hope that trend keeps going. I agree that the chief has been there long enough. How many cities is he a chief in anyways? He should go to work at Fleet Farm with the last chief that retired. Get Jim Reed back and make him the chief. To respond to Becky's post. I think people understood that Chloe didn't mean $141.00 and the people from other city's that are commenting probably were from Mayville. I don't live in Mayville but own some property there. So I must have the right to post my opinion here LOL!!!!

I think you need to get all the facts before you and other's bad mouth good people and people of a dept. This is not a discussion that you base your finding on when you are not looking at both sides of the issue. This sounds like nothing more than bar talk in that town and then running with it!It is very hurtful statement with no solid truth behind it! You may have property but your finding and your statements are very one sided. At least I took the time when visiting my in laws to learn the truth and what many of the of the people from that town really thought. They support there police dept.

I do know the facts. I wouldn't step foot in a Mayville bar because the cops sit and watch them and then they'll harrass you when you leave. When I post something It's the truth. I wish growing up in Mayville the cops were more truthful.

I just wish everyone would get along. It's good to have constructive conversation, but when it's continuously critical, even the majority of the people get sick of listening or reading it. Let's all start working together, and try to make things work for the better.

Mayville cops really suck and need to do some real work once. They could also release 5 more. Tug and J.Reed where the best cops mayville ever had.

Mayville PD has no respect for anyones rights. Drive through that town past 10:30pm and expect being pulled over, frisked, breathalyzed, and if your between the ages of 16-25 (or a minority) expect search of your vehicle (including a K-9 trampling through your vehicle). That is a town where no matter how many complaints you file, they all end up in the trash can.
