Obama Finds Legal Way Around The 2nd. Amendment and Uses It.

If This Passes, There Will Be Trouble.

Subject: Obama Takes First Step in Banning All Firearms
On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States

On Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade

WASHINGTON (Reuters)- The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

Well, Obama promised "CHANGE".

When you elect someone without a clearly defined, publicly stated agenda, you get what you pray for.

Thank you, Dumbocrats.

Unfortunately, there's more to come. Lots of 'hidden policies' in the bills that are being passed now that we don't know about....including the health care bill.

One that includes control over the internet.

Wake up America...Obama is a Radical and his vision for America has nothing to do with the Constitution or Capitalism.

Wow! Look at all this fear, and angst.

Obama eats aborted baby fetuses on his cereal for breakfast, huh? Yowza!

So, can anyone point to a specific policy, piece of legislation, or anything else that the current administration has actually enacted?

How exactly would the executive branch override the legislative and judicial branches of government?

That's the problem with extremists. They treat the Constitution like Sirloin Stockade, picking and choosing the things they like, and ignoring the rest.

Thanks for the laugh, folks...

You sir are an idiot if you cannot see the direction the current administration is taking this country. Look up the definition of socialism, we are making our way there. Currently the government already OWN's majority stakes in banks, production, and next will be a gov't controlled health care. And, yes it very possible to circumvent the system by going through the state dept to enact treaties w/other countries that will affect the way things are done within our own borders. I am not an extremeist, but I am a realist, and yes I do fear what this country is becoming, WAKE UP PEOPLE and take a stand, don't sit by and watch and expect the best outcome, get involved.

Lots of rumor...

Lots of innuendo...

Zero facts.

m1mg2: Funny that you have all this angst and blame to heap on the Obama administration, despite the fact that all these problems began in the final months of the previous administration. Try doing your homework for a change.

How about a little angst for the bankers and financers that ran their companies into the ground? How about some of that angst for the car company executives that rolled their companies into the ditch? Oh, no, wait, that was all the fault of the unions, right? Those three guys that got in their Lear Jets and flew to Capitol Hill with matching tin cups, those were union people, right?

Thanks for the laugh. This place has lots of great comedy!

So your brilliant Obama decides to take (in your words) compaines that were already 'run into the ground' and throw BILLIONS of dollars at them??? Why?

Because he wanted to OWN them. He wants his hands on as much of America as he can. Part of his plan, you see.

I agree that the current administration hasn't done anything that would limit anyone's Second Amendment rights. Or First Amendment rights, for that matter.

If you can point to something, go for it.

Good luck.

All you have to do is read the CIFTA treaty, the wording within this treaty is so loosely written that it will undoubtedly lead to the Gov't to enact gun laws that they couldn't get passed conventionally, under the pretense of "International treaties". But if you so insist on following the Gov't blindly and think that they are watching out for your best interests, then go ahead.

I'm not into following **anyone** or **anything** blindly. That especially includes media pundits and talking heads that shovel out fear and paranoia, like so much cake and ice cream at a sugared-up toddler's birthday party.

"ARTICLE IV
Legislative Measures

"1. States Parties that have not yet done so shall adopt the necessary legislative or other measures to establish as criminal offenses under their domestic law the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials.

"2. Subject to the respective constitutional principles and basic concepts of the legal systems of the States Parties, the criminal offenses established pursuant to the foregoing paragraph shall include participation in, association or conspiracy to commit, attempts to commit, and aiding, abetting, facilitating, and counseling the commission of said offenses."

Further down the pike...

"ARTICLE XII
Confidentiality

"Subject to the obligations imposed by their Constitutions or any international agreements,..."

While I'm not paranoid enough to go over this thing with a fine-tooth comb, I read a number of phrases in the treaty, where each nation's constitution or domestic laws/legal system will take precedent over the treaty. No nation is required or expected to do anything that would violate their own laws.

Again, this is about mindless paranoia. This whole schtick about "Obama's going to take our guns away!" is just a rerun of the same stuff that was bandied about by the gun organizations when Clinton was in office... and *that* was a rerun of things from the Carter years. Lots of fear, little substance.

Oh, and as to reading things that are "loosely written": If I **wanted to**... I could pick up any Bible and interpret any number of passages or verses as giving me license to kill, slaughter, commit incest, or any number of things. How do you think the Muslim extremists give themselves license to fly jetliners into skyscrapers?

Seeing the glass as "half-empty" or "half-full" is about choice, and perception. Both are correct--it's all about perception.

The U.S. Congress has upon multiple occasions declared that no entity of the federal government may develop or maintain a database of guns and gunowners, but if it is determined by the implementers of this treaty that full registration is required to fulfill the obligations of the treaty, that clearly expressed will of Congress can be swept aside and a registration requirement applied. Also requiring ammunition producers to "mark" each round will undoubtedly increase cost to a point where ammunition will be unattainable. Under the treaty is can be considered that ammunition that is not "marked" could be counted as "illegal" allowing for gov't confiscation.
I agree that with everything there is a different perception, but so far with the Obama administration I cannot see anything good to come of any of this. He is on a socialist path, with too many blind followers.
