The body of Tommy Peter Bowman was laid to rest Saturday, July 19, 2008. Approximately 150 people attended his funeral. 150 people who loved and cared for him, unlike the person/persons that murdered him.
He was a kind man and generous to a fault leading him to be taken advantage of many times in his life. While the details of this murder have not come out yet, I for one will be watching to see that justice is served for all those involved.
As neighbors and residents of Liberty, we should all get involved in seeing to it that those who perpetrated this crime receive the highest possible penalties.
It is to late for Tom Bowman, but demanding that the criminals involved pay for his murder at the highest level might influence those criminals that continue to walk our streets. Let's teach them that crime in this town does not pay.
Straighten up - or move elsewhere.
