Congratulations! The hate-filled letter has canged. See the new wording at his site
Here's the 'original" QuoteD...from ross at medicaidruinsgooddentist.com . "I come from one of the poorest areas of Virginia, the southwest corner. A place where its common to be hated for being successful and prospering, even when it is deserved and earned. The majority of the population lives near or below the poverty level and they hate anyone that doesn't. The jury of my father's "peers" was made up of twelve locals ranging from farmers to mechanics, etc. The words mesial, composite, and pulp chamber might as well have been Japanese to them. I could see their eyes glaze over whenever anyone would mention something about dentistry or any important factors in determining the presence of healthcare fraud vs. human error and bad notes. The things they did recognize, however, were the pictures of our house, pictures of my sister's car that had been taken while she was followed by FBI agents, and stories of my family going on "lavish" vacations. They made sure to emphasize words like "Mercedes" and even referred to my parents house as the "CAVITY CASTLE." I believe the jury made up their mind the second they saw our house. To them, you can't have such nice things unless you stole the money to buy it." Quote over. The kid also now states that his father is/was the only medicaid provider in Penn Gap. Which is true. Go read what it says now. |

Very sad hat so many untruths/truths came out, after the convictions. Until the recent controversy, I was unsure of the truth, now I can read that they can not tell the truth, and are twisting facts.

They mention being court ordered to sell 2 cars. Are these the daughters cars that were such an issue and purchased on the same date.? This caes, etc is very interesting with several twists.
That part about it being'common to be hated' sounds rather paranoid. Wonder if that letter was worth all of the hurt it caused? As far as the lavish trips to do charity work in Honduras, my motto is 'charity begins at home' |
I'd guess that the cars were the same, since he admitted to buying them with money he was hiding. Is anyone still thinking he is innocent?

Guilty as hell!

Then again...think of what they say in that one song... 'Don't trust your soul to no backwoods southern lawyer.' That I guess was also a mistake he made, and lost his family's ill-gotten fortune on. They may have to now drive :-O a common chevy like the rest of us.

Wow! With the overwhelming evidence, a smart lawyer, or client/defendant would have taken the plea. I heard it was 18 months. He could be getting out soon and resuming a normal life instead of fearing the unknown and just beginning his sentence. It's all really sad. Some criminals actually convince themselves that they did no wrong. I'll pick my chevy over a mercedes(hitler car) any day!

Legal, I can see your frustration, just keep in mind that they did change it. That was very nice of them. Twisting facts to suit one's self/client is a legal game usually played by lawyers.

Guilty!
Ahh. Surely Not!!!!LOL

I think that you always get paid back for whatever you do on this earth. We have no place to judge but only the lord Jesus Christ does so if he is really guilty I think that he will def get punished for the bad things that he is done. I think that sometimes things like this does go to peoples heads just a little bit sometimes money is overpowering.

Funny because I am Christian (Catholic) yet I honestly believe that God does not punish anyone. We are all his children. I believe he will accept us with open arms, even if we happen to be Mao, or Hitler. In my opinion, all part of God's grander plan... and who knows the reason for it all.

PS... does the government really need that $8000? For what, so that they can send more of our boys and girls to Iraq? I say if that is the case, Dr. Shelburne should have kept more of it!
Oh please, he got arrested for hundreds of thousands, why are you saying $8,000 when the court clearly said hundreds of thousands? Your catholic and you don't believe in hell? Kind of odd since the catholic say they believe in hell.
QUOTE FROM http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04764a.htm Here it is clearly taught that the Devil and the other demons are spiritual or angelic creatures created by God in a state of innocence, and that they became evil by their own act. It is added that man sinned by the suggestion of the Devil, and that in the next world the wicked shall suffer perpetual punishment with the Devil. |
Yeah well some current Catholics also believe that the pope is powerful and that molestation is OK... I guess I'm just not your average Catholic... and most others don't buy into that either. If you were Catholic, you would understand why. The church has been screwed up since the 60s.

No, you said it was okay for him to steal off people and the government, that isn't what I'd call religious.
Personally, I wouldn't steal money from anyone including the government but this is the reason so many dentists don't accept medicaid. The money we pay in tax dollars to fund medicaid is likely funding a senseless war in Iraq... that is my point...and I am a conservative republican!
