I'm a little confused about this case.

While I think that it is wrong for a 28 year old to be messing around with a 16 year old, technically in Georgia that's legal. The age of consent is 16. When you're 16, you can sleep with anyone you want who is over 16.

I looked on Clayton's Court website and saw his case was transferred to State Court, which means the felonies were dropped and he is only charged with misdemeanors, like contributing to the delinquency of a minor and furnishing obscene material to a minor online. Here's where the law really gets stupid! He could legally have sec with her, but he's in trouble for "Whacking his weiner....Pat'ing his Robertson" in front of her online! So, he could do it in front of her and with her in the room, but not over the internet?!?!!??!

I'm not defending this guy by any means. Dude needs to get his head examined for even flirting with a girl that young. But the laws are a little peculiar is all I am saying.
