Let’s say that you have a Concealed carry PERMIT. In other words you can carry a Revolver or a Semi-Auto pistol and you can carry two guns all the time. So, what would you carry as a primary and a secondary weapon. With Primary, being a larger caliber and Secondary being the same as the larger caliber or smaller. So, what would you carry?

If you take your test with a revolver then all you can carry is a revolver. Take your test with a semi-auto then you can carry either or both. But to answer your question I just carry a Glock 36 with no backup. But if I were to carry a backup it would be a smaller cal.

I like revolvers. Jam free, goof proof. point and pull six for sure. A 38 or 357 loaded with hollowpoints are excellent manstoppers. NYPD used them, and still do. No caliber equals the .357 96 percent one shot stop based on actual shootings. IF you need more than 5 or 6 shots, you need a long gun, or not even be there! I am a revolver fan, and know a revolver has plenty of firepower. Cops today carry autos by orders, or ignorance unless it is a 1911 45, the ultimate fighting pistol.

Glock 23 .40 cal And the smaller Glock 27 also a .40 Cal.

That's my set up,carry a XD.45 with thumb safety. That way I feel more secure by carrying cocked & locked. My BUG is a 642,just drops in pocket!

There are so many places where you can't carry, is it even worthwhile to get the permit?

Keltec makes a good concealable 380. Glock makes a good concealable weapon as well. You have to remember, if something ever happens, it will be more than likely within 3 feet of you. Carry you weapon is an easy to get to area. I see folks all the time carry theirs on their ankle. Do you know how hard that will be to get to if something ever happened? Remember this, if your draw your weapon you better be ready to use it. Most folks get permits and I doubt could kill a fly. You better be ready if you carry to be able to take someones life, and most importantly, the legal ramifications that follow. Learn your weapon and how to use it. You dont want to shoot someone accidently. It seems there are more and more people with concealment liscense these days and I dont know if thats good or bad. I see little old ladies applying for permits and it scares me. The scared are the ones that will accidently kill someone.
