The plain fact that you feel the need to state that you are " normal people" prives alot ! I know gypysies , rummnys , etc , they are all far from normal , from fathers not claiming there children so the wifes can get state aid , to keeping all relationships amd marrages with in the family ! Gypsys are supposed to marry family members , they run away at 16 with another rumny , the women are expected to take verbal and physical abuse , the only time a girl gypsys is allowed to marry out side the family is if she finds a rich man who will take care of her and her family , all in all every gypsy i have ever met was trash !!!! I dated an Irish Traveler once, and truly loved her. I'm Irish-Italian and apparently that pissed her mom off and I haven't seen her since. I still dream of her almost every night. She is the most beautiful woman I was ever with.

As I know a lot of gypsies from where I live in white hall, ar I get along with them just fine they are nice and friendly people that do good work that I've seen. However, I don't believe in some of the other things I see such as having a huge beautiful home and brand new very expensive vehicles yet recieving Medicaid (state assistance) I work in a medical facility so I see it everyday, I'm in there working so that some of my taxes can help provide for thier assistance when they are clearly more financially stable then I am. I just want that part to be right! Of you have the money to buy all these other materialistic things than you have enough money to pay your own doctors bill. My child has Juvenile diabetes which I have to shell out 100s of dollars for every month just to keep him alive and it makes our funds extremely tight. My car is old our house def needs some updating but all our money goes to our ill child. Pay your own doctors bills cause I'm tired of doing it for you.

If they are gypsies and move around a lot. Then why have generations lived I'm white hall like you are saying. Shouldn't they move around and not stay in one spot? Not trying to be a smart as* just wondering...I don't know anything about their lifestyle.

The men do leave then come back. The women stay here sometimes they leave too but they always come back, they all live on the Redfield Hwy. just drive from white hall towards Redfield and once you start seeing huge beautiful houses with campers out front and aluminum foil over the windows you are in thier community. They have thier own church as well it is something harvest church. So yes they are gypsies and no they have no problem telling you that either.

Google "Irish Travelers Ohio" and you'll see from the news reports ... The reputation of traveling scam artists didn't just pop out of nowhere.

I worked with many of these people around White Hall, Ar back in the 80s and found them to be very good people who took pride in their community.
