I'm an ASU fan.. Don't hate arkansas , would cheer for them over anyone but ASU... But still like ASU way more.. Whose better ? Obviously Arkansas is right now. They have recruited better in the last due to their prestige and conference .. Will it change over night ? No.. But give Gus a few years and they'll be equals... If he says 4-5 years then ASU could be better.. But there is def no point in arguing over this topic..
Even the most hardcore , hog haters still know the facts even if they don't wanta admit it.. The thing Gus has
Going is if he recruits Arkansas hard enough, all those kids he recruits, their friends, family etc will start supporting ASU and help build the program up.. It's a good plan

Arkansas will never be a consistently top national football program due to the insecurity of the athletic administration, fans and coaching staff. Why worry about what ASU or its fans think of you? Your hypocritical attitude towards in-state competition is proof enough that you can barely manage your own state much less dominate strong regional competition. The upcoming 4 losses (Alabama, Texas A&M, South Carolina, and LSU) this year shall bring the swine-bibbers back to reality, and John Smith will be tagged a bum by the imbred idiots of the 50th best program in the country. There will be no top 10 finish this year or any other. NCAA probation by 2016 due to lack of institutional oversight. Investigation already underway.$20,000 payments to mistrsses is just the tip of the icebeg. Oversight in KC doesn't need to travel very far ( 5 hours down 71) to look into what's going on in hemplandia.

Watch and see?

I made an opinionated prediction on the outcome of the Wisconsin recall election. I was wrong. So be it.

You however made this statement as fact;

So, I have no prob admitting I was wrong in my prediction,... and I have no prob calling you a liar.

There is NO NCAA investigation going on at the University of Arkansas. Not in any sport, and certainly not pertaining to Bobby Petrino's mistress nor the $20,000 he gave her.

You are just simply a liar.

Buckwheat hasn't got a clue! He talks about the insecure athletic administration? They have committed $350 million to improving the already "top notch" athletic facilities. They are a top 10 athletic program and one of the very few in the country that donate money to the education side of the school. In the last year they have been #3 in football,#1 in gymnastics,#2 in baseball,#1 in track, top 10 in mens and womens golf, and top 25 in other sports. Not to mention they are in the toughest sports conf. in the country.

The people who are in charge at Fayetteville don't give a damn about northeast Arkansas or anybody in it. They barely care about their fans in Little Rock and only because they have to. They'd just as soon never play a game in LR again. They certainly don't care about some hayseeds in east Arkansas.

The real UA fan base in Fayetteville and Bentonville laugh on message boards about NEA hicks and how NEA is a craphole....and some dummies over here buy their shirts and say "duh...yeah all but me".

Bunch of suckers...keep sending your money Northwest to the millionaires. Keep buying their t-shirts...and keep pretending you are like them and that they love you.

Because they are smart enough to look out for their own and build their own. Their cities and counties are smart enough to band together and insist on what they need. They support their own stuff and try to squelch everyone else's.

And they are smart enough to convince a bunch of rubes to help them out.

I don't hate the Hogs. I despise the lazy and ignorant who find it easier to "piggyback" on what somebody else somewhere else built rather than build up their own. It's easier for them to buy a t-shirt jump on the Hog bandwagon and pretend to be a part of it even when they are not from that region and didn't even attend the school. And then trash their own towns, region, and people to ingratiate themselves.

I am from Northeast Arkansas. I primarily support the school that is mostly attended by kids from Jonesboro, Paragould, Trumann, West Memphis, Rector, Newport, Walnut Ridge, Blytheville, etc. Not primarily the school mostly attended by kids from Fayetteville, Bentonville, Dallas Texas, Fort Smith and Oklahoma.

I support the school that is the second largest employer and main economic driver in the region.

I am REAL comfortable with that.

I don't hate the Hogs. I dislike people who crap in their own nest and refuse to stand up for the place they live and the people they live with and the institutions that employ their neighbors first.

There are folks who tried to prevent ASU from becoming a university to protect a monopoly whether or not it screwed this region and the kids in it. There was opposition to doctoral programs. Opposition to distance learning. Opposition to funding.

That was smart on their part. But dumb for any one of us to tolerate it...much less cheer it.

There is a rusting skeleton of a basic education building on the ASU campus that cannot be completed because the kids of northeast Arkansas are not as important as some other kids elsewhere.

That building would not sit rusting on the UA campus for two years. Those kids are more important than ours.

Some folks in NEA can buy the t-shirts...call the Hogs...send their money over there and trash their own people and institutions. It's a free country.

But I'm free to think they are ignorant. And I do.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
