Sorry but your blinds are claiming land that I have a right to hunt. You putting a permanant blind on a hole stops me from hunting that hole. And before you state there has not been problems, that BS! There has been many problems. One area a guy got shot at. There has been many fights, to many to count. For years no one could place a permanant deer stand, and same should go for duck hunters. You duck hunters think you own the land, but sorry all citizens own the land. If you want to point a finger at anyone, point it at your fellow ignorant possesive duck hunters who got pissed off when someone wanted to hunt the area around your blind. If you want to expose your kids to duck hunting or you have elderly hunters who wish to continue to hunt and not hunt from a boat or walk in. Buy you some land and hunt all you want. But blinds on public land keep other hunters from hunting that spot.

Don't forget AGFC flood areas for duck hunting, what about the other hunters of different species, that can't hunt when they flood the area. Duck hunters want and want. They act like they own every square inch of public land in the delta. Sorry but Fales hit the nail on the head. Many different people have a right to that land. Permanant blinds or area flooding, for one species is wrong. Its ok to flood some, but not the whole area.

To you Fales, did you have a hand in building any blinds on the river? Dont sound like it by the whining.so your probably not welcome or one of those that trashs a blind that the owners work hard to keep clean and stocked with food and gas for heat, and abuse them. Yeah its public land but the blinds are built buy people that have had blinds there for years and continue to maintain them with a permit yearly, but that may be coming to an end.If you get on someones swing then i dont blame them for peppering you to run your ass off.

When the G+F bought the land from some of the landowners, there were blinds that were to be grandfathered in, thus left alone. The big change coming is that you will no longer be able to leave your decoys out over night, saving you a hole.

I have hunted many of different places through my years and the St Francis sunken lands has been one of the best. I have hunted in several of the blinds there and I have never had any problems with anyone. Matter of fact one of the settlers even came up on me while I was in his blind and very nicely asked me if he could join me. We sat around and told stories and now i consider him a friend. I even took my daughter Daniella with me one day and we hunted one of the blinds out there in that there open water. Eventhough she is a chip off the ole block I would never give her a gun sitting in a boat. I can say this old hunter has been in 90% of the blinds over there and I have never been run off or threatened in anyway. If you would like to hunt over there leave me your email address or phone and I will set you up.

My grandson isn't able to stand up by a tree or even sit in a boat. He is in a wheelchair and the blind for the handicap has been wonderful. If not for it he would not be able to hunt, because I'm not financially able to spend 5 to 10 thousand dollars to lease a blind.

I'm alittle older dude, when I hunted if you shot a certain duck you were through for the day. Now Money has leased all the laces I use to hunt, ditches, barpits and just plain feilds. Money and leases stop that. The same farmers that wouldn't let me hunt ducks, begged me to come and shoot geese, which I replied for a $100 a day I would. They were eating his wheat up. Karma I love her.

It is simple. le4ave the blinds. Just have a drawing on august 1 each year for the right to hunt one that year. 15 dollar application fee.
Blind number 1 goes to homer noodleman from cherry valley. Pulls out another app- Blind 2 goes to bernie schwartz of possum trot Blind 3 to ben Dover from podunk---- til all blinds had been awarded an owner for that year. If the owner doesn't show up by 30 minutes before shooting hours it is first come first serve.
There are other crippled children and Paw-Paws out there and the present "owners" have had them long enough. time for somebody else to have a turn. If not, then Burn,Baby,Burn.

So your saying the state bought your land, but you are suppose to have full rights of the blind you left. Look you got money for your land, so quit bitching because you can't hunt your blind now. Its public land and if you had a agreement on the blinds staying, that did not give your sole rights to the blind. Someone mentioned keeping the blind up,with food and gas for heat. Well this is the person, who everyone has a problem with. You think you own the dang blind and ground. Sorry but its PUBLIC land and you have no RIGHTS. The AGFC is doing the right thing. And as someone else mentioned, walk in and hunt like everyone else. Sorry your condo living/hunting is over. This is not Duck Dynasty and its not your land.

To you OPINION, if i bought every piece of material to build that blind, and keep it maintained to this year for over 30 years that i've in the same damn spot without problem then, yes i concider it mine and everyone respects that ! Thats the way we blind owners roll. I never said i own the ground, but had permission to construct it. If you want to split the cost of up keep then that's fine, just keep the gas bottle filled up and food in the cabinet.$300 for your part. Just slide it under the brush on top of the blind outside the window of my well insulated callers porch complete with a leather bucket seat(HEATED). There's a can for trash and a can for shell hulls so put them where they belong. THATS A RULE! O, by the way, i cook fish every Saturday, so bring hush puppies and tar tar sauce if you dont mind . If not then your not welcome in the palace . Waders off at back porch, PLEASE! Tile floor is hard to keep clean! Thanks for your understanding, GO HOGS!

I like the drawing ideal , but making someone hunt and be in blind is pretty ridiculous! They could let there friends know when they weren't hunting it and at least people couldn't come into the blind u got to hunt that year and s""t in it or destroy things ! If u let anyone have blind with that 30 minute rule then you r a game hog like them . I could win a blind for That year and take pictures of ducks ! Why not ?? At least be fair ? Ok !

Think I will pass, that tile is about to be charred remnants and that heated seat will be floating down by Marianna by season. You enjoyed 30 years so be thankful. It was actually 29 1/2 years to long for one person to have sole rights over a piece of ground. You think I could sell my land with a house, and live in that house for 30 years? Don't think so. I will say the AGFC messed up. They should have been charging a rental fee on the blinds, and we could have put that money back in the ground for boat ramps, boat lanes etc. If you would have been leasing a blind on public land, you would have paid $4000-$5000 a year. So you pocketed $150,000. Shut your trap because your bragging is over on how nice you duck hunted in your private blind on tax paying ground, all for free. See ya in the woods, omigo

If your blind is on public property it should be burned. The Game and Fish did this several years ago and I think they continue to do so. I feel sorry for the stupid SOB who perrers me with shot. Thats what you carry those extra loads of XX buckshot for. If I get peppered that person better be ready for a battle for his life is all I can say. Thats grounds to invoke your rights of self protection. It should be a ten thousand dollar fine for anyone placing a permanant structure upon public land with no questions asked plus loss of your hunting rights for three years.

You do realize that not all the land is public and the private owners have every right to keep their blinds on their own land and to run off anyone who is on that piece of property
