What do you base that on? Why would you say such a thing? He has devoted more time and energy to this community than all the other candidates put together.
He gives of himself expecting nothing in return.

He doesn't sell liquor licenses.
He is a fine family man and a christian!!!
Please answer, i would like to know your reasoning.

OK! so my typing isn't so great..I will be HAPPY to listen. The mayor's position doesn't pay enough to help any of the candidate's pockets!

We/I have not always agreed with HP but he has never lied to me/us. Show him what needs to be done on paper, crunch the numbers and he has always been reasonable. He is a good man, a people person, a gentlemen, a christian and a pillar of the community. He has had the same wife, taken care of his kids, looked out for the city, worked for the needy at every turn. Doesn't drink like a fool, doesn't fool around with other peoples wives and doesn't do all the terrible character slandering that one of his oponents is famous for. He has my vote and many, many, many other christians. He is the only one I know for a fact that has been on his knees about this race (I have seen him). Go Harold!!!!!

my reasoning?
easy...
look at the guy... shmarmy and gladhanding everybody... its pathetic. and honestly i don't trust any of 'em.
all of the candidates are just doing it for the benefits and kickbacks.

oh, and you say that harold has donated so much of his time to the council and what not... but isn't the council the problem with this community at the moment?

One problem we have is lack of leadership by a mayor who is leaving and is basicly just biding his time. there has always been a lack of communication between the council and the mayor. It led to division among the council members and basicly a mess. the council is not the problem with this community--you give them too much credit.
you should check out the benefits, they are very lacking when compared to a ceo or president of a multimillion dollar company.

Show me some proof of any kick backs. My money is on the fact that you probably made that up. Most people who are lazy and have a chip on their shoulder, think that kind of thing.

I agree with lawman 123! He is an upstanding guy! My wife and I are voting for him. He and Rennell are the only two running that I can say I would trust to run this city. Perrin for Mayor and Rennell for council!! This would be great to get our city going forward!! God Bless them both for ALL the work they do!

mR PERRIN HAS ALWAYS BEEN FAIR AND UP FRONT, EVEN if it wasn't wha t I wanted to hear but knew inside he was right.

He is the only candidate that is passionate about doing this job for the city.

I encourage everyone to vote Harold Perrin!!!!!

I am torn between Harold Perrin and Alec Farmer for the run off. I am curious to know if Mr. Perrin is a Democrat or a Republican. I think both of them would do a good job, so now I'm wanting to know who most likely shares my ideals. Does anyone know?

Are both good people. The main difference is that Harold has the experience in government and business. He grew up poor and made it on his own. The big money people as some call them call ask him the finance and bank questions and not he other way around. He stayed on the council when things got tough while Alec did not. JMHO!

I'm just an everyday girl, never met the mayor personally but when I happen to run into him from time to time, he always says hello with a sincere smile on his face. That tells me a lot about a man.

Nobody can beat him right now. An attempt would be a waste of money and time. He has done well and will continue to do so. Good job Harold!

Alec Farmer and Harold Perrin are both Business men they know what they are doing. If you think that Perrin is lining his pockets now he was already on the Board of Directors of ASU and Liberty Bank before he was Mayor. The Mayors salary at one time was a measly $36,000 for a part time job last I heard it was $92,000 plus benefits still not as much as a CEO but not bad pay for the Job.
