They are not safe to be operated on the street. Keep them off road where they were designed to be operated.

And yes I love atvs. I have one. I operate it only off road where it is supposed to be operated. Only idiots try to ride them on the highway.

My wife just got home and was shaking like a leaf because a fool kid on one almost plowed into her where Creekwood Ts out. Again. We see really stupid, stupid, stupid kids riding them in traffic and running people off the road all the time here. Some of those stupid kids are in their 60's or older but they all have the mentality of a 2 year old with a death wish. JPD needs to do something about this. It's hell 24/7 and some of those kids are way too young to be out walking alone let alone operating an ATV on a busy street. Most of them have kids piled on, barely hanging on. Safety gear wouldn't help them if they crashed like that but if that's how they're being raised they'd be better off dead anyhow.

I would try the trails at craighead forest if I did not have private property to ride on. All of the places that I ride are private property so they're not good for somebody that does not know the owners.

Please wait...
I think a atv is just as safe as a motorcycle on the road , however I believe that they should not be allowed on highways or an road that has a speed limit above 35 MPH and they should have head lights ,taillights, brake lights, blinkers, and mirrors. you can buy the lighting kits online also.

You must be one of those stupid parents who always put your kids at risk and encourage bad behavior and then whine and cry when they are dead, crippled, or in jail. Or all three. Jonesboro is full of your kind. That's part of why it sucks so large.

One more time for the idots in the balcony. It is illegal to operate an ATV on any city, county or state maintained road. Farmers are exempt if, they are going from one piece of farm property to another and must travel along or across said roadways to get there. This is the only exception.

Do you know where it stays when not being ridden? Next time, follow it home and then call the police and file a complaint. I know. You think the police won't come out or at the very most will only listen to a complaint and not follow it up but, if enough people band together and complain many times, they might get the message and decide to do something. Perhaps, if you talk to your neighbors and find out who wants something done, you can coordinate calls. It only takes a little communication among neighbors. Has anyone thought about sacrificing a car or truck by allowing it to be hit or not trying to stop when they pull in front of you? Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not talking about deliberately trying to run one down or trying to hurt anyone, just shake them up and give them a wake up call.

I've got an uncle in Candlewood and UR so rite about calling the cops and some helping and some not so much helping but it is the only thing to do. It don't do no good to talk to the neighbors because it's them and their kids that's the problem. His wife never bothers nobody and she is the sweetest lady I ever met but she will just be out working her yard and the kids and grownups out there will start cussing her for being in her yard and stuff and then when it gets so bad the cops get there they lie and say she started cussing them and she don't cuss nobody but those nuts out there is like crazy all of them no matter what age and I wish my uncle would move back over here with us and away from such mean drunk crazy peple.

ATV's are illegal on ALL roads. Wait till someone you care about gets hit or killed on one. Most people are respectable on ATV's, but you have the bad apples who ruin it for everyone. They do 80 mph everywhere, do doughnuts in the gravel roads causing dust and rocks to go everywhere, and yes I have seen people with babies(3 and under) riding them fast as hell. Some people are just born stupid.
