The Obama White House intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. The goal of the treaty is to come up with internationally recognized rules governing the trade of guns and ammo. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the U.S. State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the U.S. government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. For those who are unclear of what this means, it means that international law takes precedence over the constitution. In this case, the second amendment which gives us the right to bear arms. The deal is set to be signed August 26 of this year. Those on here that are in favor of the right to bear arms had better contact Mike Ross and anyone else who will listen because if we stay silent, then we are going to lose that right. Dump Obama 2012!!! WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP, Where did this come from, the NRA? If what was said in this post was true the Kyoto treaty on "global warming" would have the power to reduce the US standard of living to that of a third world nation.

I knew it; In fact, suspicions that the UN wants to seize Americans’ guns have been circulating since the mid-1990s. Those fears dovetail with trepidations that some have about Obama on this issue. John Bolton, former ambassador to the UN under the George W. Bush administration, recently told the NRANews: Bolton, Nov. 6: The administration is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there’s no doubt – as was the case back over a decade ago – that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control. After the treaty is approved and it comes into force, you will find out that it … requires the Congress to adopt some measure that restricts ownership of firearms. The administration knows it cannot obtain this kind of legislation purely in a domestic context.… They will use an international agreement as an excuse to get domestically what they couldn’t otherwise.

Dump Obama 2012!!! We’ve received many queries about this chain e-mail, which refers to a proposed United Nations treaty to regulate the global trade of conventional weapons. Much of what this e-mail claims is simply false. A "complete ban on all weapons for US citizens" isn’t possible under our Constitution, according to the Supreme Court, which held just last year that: District of Columbia v. Heller, 26 June 2008:(T)he enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table. These include the absolute prohibition of handguns held and used for self-defense in the home. Furthermore, if an arms trade treaty ever materializes, the administration won’t be able to "bypass" Congress, as the e-mail maintains. All international treaties require the approval of two-thirds of the Senate before they are considered ratified and in effect. In addition, the idea that a treaty necessarily would make U.S. citizens "subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments," as the e-mail claims, is wrong. Treaties don’t subject one nations’ citizens to the laws of other nations. They do commit governments to whatever actions a treaty specifies, such as ceasing to test nuclear weapons, in the case of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (a treaty signed by the U.S., but never ratified by Congress http://www.factcheck.org/2009/12/internationa...

Topix 102 up, 9 down The worst forum website yet. Consisting of biased threads/polls, to unregistered anonymous wimps, to spambots and robo spammers, to racism and outlandish posts, well...you get the point... Go to any forum, ANY FORUM on the website and post a poll or a discussion thread that is relevant to the forum. You will not expect any replies, but if you post anything off-topic, weird or racist, the discussion thread/poll will be flooded with hatred and spam. On the site, constant hate towards other users is bliss, and pros in proxy servers are commonly found everywhere. One day, you can post and change your location to France, then the next day you can change it to Mexico. All in all, Topix has been rated as one of the worst websites. P.S. even the moderators of the website join in on the action and they have the ability to remove anything relevant and leave anything irrelevant. Romney made an appearance in front of the NAACP today. He was predictably booed when he said he would repeal Obamacare. Had a mixed reaction of booes and applause when he said that if they were looking for a leader to fix the country that they were looking at him. He finished with a standing ovation at the end of his speech. If Romney is able to swing the black vote from the 90%-10% in 2008 to lets say 70%-30% in this election then it will look ugly for Obama. I admit that a 70%-30% still in favor of Obama is a lofty goal but as bad as Obama has been I would not be surprised.

This is what Romney has just said at a fundraiser tonight about his being booed at the NAACP according to a pool report . ROMNEY'S EXACT WORDS: Remind them of this, if they want more stuff from government tell them to go vote for the other guy-more free stuff. But don't forget nothing is really free. He will be lucky to get 2%.

I am not a racist and abhor racism on any level but the GOP will never get the Black vote, so what, we don't need it. The ironic thing is that unemployment amongst African Americans has jumped 7% under Obama. Donations to the United Fund are down 27% under Obama. If Obama said he was joining the Klan and going to triple income tax on African Americans he'd still carry 95% of that vote.
