I am looking for some good baby names! I have several (18) friends/associates pregnant and seem to be one of the last going to have my baby and good names are taken! I do not know if it is a girl or boy yet bc im not but 14 weeks! Please help! Thanks!

I like to put a contemporary/modern name with a classic/traditional name so that at some point, the kid isn't stuck being a grandmother named "Tiffany" or "Brittany" or a lawyer named "Corky" or "Caysen". I think it is important to come up with something that will work long-term, not just a cute "now" name. |

It doesn't matter if your friends have already picked out a name that you like. You name your child (along with the Dad) what you want. I had decided on my son's name (I used the telephone book to help me think of names), and then two other people I know decided to name theirs that. My husband and I took nicknames we liked first and then did out names. Our reasoning is that everyone shortens the name at one time or another. And then the only other thing for me was I didn't want a name we knew of someone already having. Sorry, I already knew half a dozen Brea's in one form or another and several Aiden's.
