Most people with jobs aren't "hard working". They think they're entitled to a paycheck just for showing up.

Maybe he was standing on that side of the road because he didn't want a job. Subway and Little Ceasars are right across the road and about always have help wanted signs in their windows!

Most of them wouldn't work if you tried to hire them.Honest sign would say"give me some drug and alcohol money."

not everyone who is going through hard times have drug or alcohol problems. It takes a lot of humility to beg from strangers. I couldnt do it for myself, but if I had hungy kids, thats a different story

if he showed the same motivation job hunting that he did hunting the cardboard and marker to make the sign. He would have his 40hrs of taxable income !! Power to the people!!

Well I think of it like this even if he is on drugs or whatever the situation may be. Even mass murders and the hardest criminals get three meals a day and a roof over there head.. And that's in prison or jail

Amen. What is going to hurt to offer this man some food? Maybe he doesn't have reliable transportation to get a "real job"?

This site makes you realize how heartless and cruel people are. Just pray you aren't in his shoes someday and people don't treat you the way you treat those that need help.

we have a public transportation system now !! or walk, take the shoe sole express!! Does he have reliable transportation to take him to his panhandling spots?? if you can walk around town begging you can walk to a job!! They don't want work or food . They want money ,usually for hooch!! It says "will work for food" because thats a classic throw away panhandling phrase!! They use it because if the sign said "Just give me money, please" they wouldn't make a dime!! I know people with families and they walked to work till they could establish themselves enough to get a cheap car and work from there!! I'm not against helping those in need ,but alot of these arguments are asinine.

It just truly disgusts me that people act like that! I believe in a loving and giving God and that's the way I choose to live my life. If I give to someone and they don't truly need it then that is on their shoulders, not mine!

Yea,Living here in the bible belt isn't at all what I expected. With so many "christians" around you would think there would be more help out there in this area for a burdened soul such as the man on caraway.I'm goin there to feed him than smoke a joynt with him after a good meal. While the rest of you just sit there and "pray".

I bet that man standing on the side of the road begging makes more money in a day than some of you make in a week. What you don't see at the end of the day is the man walking off to one of the parking lots to get into his shiny late model car that's better than the ten year old beat up clunker that you are stuck driving.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Taurus

It's an important day to enlist the cooperation of your partner and loved ones. If you can sort out any differences then you can work together to achieve your goals. Don't try to put aside the concerns or objections of others, though. Take time to discuss important matters. The home is the heart of your partnerships and if you put in the effort there, you can enjoy the fruits of the labours of all your family.
