I worked with him at a couple different jobs for many years from when I was in high school up until about 4 years ago. I haven't so much as talked to him in the last 4 years though, not since we ceased to have any jobs in common.
This story is how I first found Topix last summer. I had heard about his arrest after it happened, and when I googled for it this thread on Topix was the first hit.
I'm still not sure how to feel about someone's life being effectively ruined over mere pictures being downloaded.
On that note, does anyone know if he will have to register as a "predator" for the rest of his life?
If he plead guilty as people on here have said, then I hope that he actually had a problem with this stuff and that he didn't just get caught up in all of this for merely playing around on the computer or something like that.
God knows the stuff I saw on other guy's computers while walking down the dorm halls at ASU, but none of it was anything of this nature.
It's too bad either way though.
He was a really nice guy when I knew him.
