There is nearly 200,000 deaths each year, in America alone, caused by medical mistakes in hospitals . That is just the one that they can account for. That is more deaths than I have heard about from those that choose not to trust in doctors. You have all the faith in the world that you are right, about them being ignorant and crazy, and they are wrong, for there faith in God not doctors, how are you so sure you are right instead of them. You put your faith and trust in those that have went to school for a number of years to get a paper that says they can "practice" medicine, and there is people that think you are crazy for trusting someone that has proved they make mistakes.
Doctors and hospitals help a lot more people than they hurt. Your church hurts a lot more people than it helps. The infant mortality rate in this faith healing church is twenty-six times greater than that of the general population.

If you had faith in God, you would take a sick or injured child to the hospital when they are seriously ill or injured. You would because the law requires it. Instead members from your church do not believe God is powerful enough cure people in the hospital.

This is true member 019...they seem to be trusting in their doctrine and traditions more than God, and I don't think God is going to honor that. Jesus is merciful.

Doctrine, Jackie, doctrine. Simple as that, coupled with a lack of ignorance of the scriptures of the mercy and compassion of Jesus. Satan has doctrines too. They are mentioned in the bible as "doctrines of demons".

And..man made doctrines and tradtions of men that make the Word of God of none effect. There is no excuse, when the bible is available for all to read and follow, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

I know a lot of these posts are several years old, but I just fell upon them today. That 4 month old baby you are reffering to is/was my sister. And those parents are MY parents. I get that you do not agree with the religion as I do not myself, but my parents were doing what they believed to be right. I was only 5 when she passed and did not understand anything that was going on. As I got older and able to learn and understand for myself I now realize just that. My parents did what they were taught to do. I have not attended that church in many years and do not plan to again, but I say this my parents served time and live with the decission(as do I) they made on a daily basis. Isn't this enough to suffice you people who believe they should have been put to death?! They had 3 other children at home. I do not know any more then you do about this church and I was raised in it, but I do not go around bashing the people who still attend. I am one of a few in my family that don't attend anymore, and I can't say that I have all the answers either, no one does. We choose, or are taught how we believe. Did you not grow up in your religion? Can you not choose to stay in it or decide upon another one? Let these people do the same and stop harrassing them. If anything(since we obviously don't agree with it) let's pray ourselves for the children. And I apologize, as for I can not answer your question(if God did not want there to be physicians, why did he give some of us the intelligence to be medical people?)either, all I can say is God bless the people who do have and use that knowledge. And God bless all of God's people.

I am so pis*ed at this "religion"... CULT.
There has to be a law passed nation wide, not just a state to state law, that has to state that any unborn child and children under the age of 18 must receive medical attention. You people who claim that "God will heal us" are more than welcome to do as you damn well please, but these babies and kids do not know any better and they need protection from YOU.
As for you "not a cult" piss off. It is a cult, otherwise you wouldn't have to brain wash those who know the real God and his word to join in. You people take bits and pieces of the Bible and make it work to fit your lives. ALL church of the firstborn are hypocritical! Here's an example of your fu*ked up stuff: My child, who was born a Baptist but now in your sh*t because my child married into it, tried telling me that the Ten Commandments were made in the New Testament. Bullsh*t!!! Anyone who has read the Bible knows that they were made in the First Testament.
You people make me sick. Each and every one of you must be held liable for your actions and do prison time or be executed for any deaths that occur due to lack of medical treatment. And more than 4 months, as it was done to a couple from your cult here in Oklahoma where their 4 month old child died from pneumonia.
Tell me this - He gives us the ability to be who and what we are. Not YOU or the cult.
If a person is not of your cult when they marry into a family of the cult, then they are shunned or the cult member becomes shunned. That is not how religion works. That is not how God works. He loves and accepts everyone who accepts Him. It doesn't matter what color they are, what they do for a living, or what religion they belong to. As long as you believe and accept Jesus Christ, that's good enough for Him.
Oh and on a closing note - do a google search for religions. Your cult will not show up as a religion. Take that one and shove it up your a*s!

I can understand your feelings A anon. I don't agree with all the comments either, although I don't think anyone here has "wished anyone put to death". That's pretty harsh. But like you, they are entitled to speak their piece on a public forum.

People speak about "church" a lot. It is presumed that Christians go to church because of their love of God, not just because they religiously follow a certain church. This should be true. The bottom line is that the Bible is the source of Truth, and God is the author of it. This is what all Christians should be following if they are true to Jesus, not a church. Any church.

When churches have certain aspects of a cult, it raises questions, especially when they see babies and children die because of a churches doctrine.

Again....people should look deeply into the bible for themselves, not just go along with "what they've been taught". Therein lies the problem.

The Bible is the Truth, and the Holy Spirit is supposed to be the guide. So many people don't follow that order.

I for one didn't accept Christ and "be taught" from church or people's doctrines, but rather by the bible. I am so glad that I was not indoctrinated by a churches belief systems and doctrines, but did my primary groundwork in the scriptures, and it has sustained me pretty well to keep me out of false beliefs. I'm just saying.

For example, when the apostle Paul was saved, he didn't run to the other apostles, the Lord led him to separate himself to a place of solitude where Jesus taught him the revelations that were the foundation of the Faith. This is an example that, as the bible says, "We have no need that any man should teach us". The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us unto all Truth"....If....we are willing and obedient to be taught by Him.

Churches tend to want people to conform, but the Lord wants them to conform to Him and His doctrine.

Anyways, blessings to you.

Neither the Apostle Paul or Jesus would condone doctrine that allowed babies and children to lay there and die without medical help. You can twist scripture all you want but you'll never get around that fact.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that you lived when the Bible was written since you seem to "know" it all. I don't believe that God would want that either, but in fact that is just our interpretation of the Bible as well. It may be different then what other's are saying they understand it to be, but nonetheless it's still just an interpretation, because we weren't around when the Bible was written.

Does anyone have information about "shunning" in the COFB churches? I know it has been practiced, and may still be. Have a need to know for an individual. Thanks.

There shall be a people,

who are coming to Earth soon.

They shall walk before God

without sin, blemish or any iniquity.

In the Glory of God,

to the Glory of God.

They shall worship in Spirit and Truth and walk in His Light.

They shall obey in Spirit and Truth and be a witness to the Spirit of

Truth.

They shall dwell in all the beauty of the Holiness of God,

unto the Holiness of God.

They shall bless and love the Lord with all they do, with all their hearts

with all their minds and with all their souls

with all their strength.

They shall fulfill the Commandments of Jesus the Christ.

They are sent by God to destroy the works of the children of the devil.

They shall prevail and overcome the temptations of the world and slay

the

children of the devil with the Righteousness of their lives and the Spirit

of their Lord.

And the Sons of God rejoice to see this day.

They shall open the door for the return of the King of Kings to Earth.

They and they alone shall have the blessing of the Lord.

You know what? your right they are playing god. Because God can make it rain and volcanos explode and horrific accidents happen.HELLO! THEY cannot do any of those things! obviously because they are only humans. JUST humans. Humans make mistake just like you! They have a mind of their own. They can choose paths and make their own decisions just like you. No one is trying to be god. No one is playing god. Again i say, THEY CAN MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS. I think you should get off your judgemental high horse and leave them alone. They didnt do anything to you im sure. Let them live the way they want to. If they want to make stupid choices let them. If they want to go to doctors let them. If they want to change their name to captian underpants THEN LET THEM BE. Mind your own business. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and always will but this belief is sadistic and just plain horrible. I personally have had an insite into this religion as I have inlaws with 6 children and would have been seven children had they not chose to allow healing hands and a midwife attemp to deliver their seventh child who died at birth. I also am married and my husband has recently began going to this church. My profession is a Registered Nurse, so I do not need to tell you how many problems this has stirred in our relationship. Just yesterday our nephew broke his arm and the brethren set and casted his arm...Is this not medical attention???? And may I state , medical attention practiced by a unlicensed lay person which I feel is illegal by all terms of the word. I just wish that someone , somewhere would pass a law to protect our young children who do not have the ability to make informed decisions regarding their care!!!!
I was raised in this church. My father, who has since passed, was instrumental in starting a lot of these churches in different cities, states, etc. I do not attend this church & have not since my late teens. I would like to respond to some of the comments I have seen posted here, first & foremost, they are NOT a cult. They are a Christian, extremely devout, group of people (very large membership nationally) that, by definition, are legalists. Meaning, they follow the bible (king James Version) litterally, verbatim. Whatever the bible says, they believe & practice. For example on the medical side, the bible says to "not seek out doctors & men of the flesh for healing, as true healing comes from the Lord. Elders should lay hands upon the sick & afflicted & pray for God's healing touch" that is paraphrased, but that is what they do.
Their name comes from Hebrews 12:23 which staes "to the general assembly & church of the firstborn which are written in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect." I want to stress here that although I do not attend or subscribe to their beliefs, I think it is a very slippery slope to cast stones on anothers beliefs, especially without first hand knowledge. That to me, is worse than any cult. They DO NOT brainwash people, they are a very kind, & meek group, but do not misunderstand me, they are very strict & rigid in their beliefs.
When my father finally realized that some of their teachings were not in line with what he believed were Christs teachings, he wrote a book ("One Lord, One Faith")which really went against all the dogma that he had been taught & preached, they expelled him. My father was a very devout & spiritual man, who lived his life serving God, at no time, ever, did he engage in, practice or condone, any detrimental teachings, beliefs or actions. Thanks for reading.

You know ignorance can be very sincere and have every appearance of holiness on the surface, and be just as blind as a bat in the weightier matters of simple mercy and compassion.

The garden of eden was the perfect setting in the sight of God, you then take the one commandment not to partake of the tree of knowledge. So then you say God gave them the knowledge yet you do not know God of Abraham to say that. That is the truth in the most simplest form. Man had taken the knowledge and it has been the will of man to escape God and rebel since. Take it to the time of Judges who said raise a king that is a man who will rule over us. What did God say.... To samuel he said it is because they have rejected me. Take king David who fell short and sinned and God caused his son to die, what did david do??? He had his face to the ground praying. This man was a man after Gods own heart. God is a jealous God. Yes there were physicians in that time too. David also had to make a decision on Gods three choices of judgement. david said in a sum up anything but being delivered to the hands of man. He feared the Lord. Now you probably say thats then though what about now, or things have changed and again I say to you you do not know God of Abraham because he is the same then today and forever and your disbelief that you cover up by justification for the flesh is exactly why Jesus came so the law would be written in our hearts and minds to all those that were baptized and then had the lay of hands to receieve the holy spirit. The kingdom is established mount sion is here made without hands. Jesus first came to set things in order for the unrigteous but the word of the lord says he comes back for the righteoues WITHOUT spot. Romans 6 says is baptism we died liked unti the death of christ if the body is dead, what are you taking to the doctors! Your flesh is risen up and the man of christ is again crucified. The mark of the beast behold here is wisdom it is the number of a MAN! So do you listen to your heart.?? No God is not involved in emotions. Those are fleshly things. Jeremiah 17 10 talks about the heart being desperatly wicked who can know it? God can. My prayers are for you, I wish you could have the joy I have in God of Abraham. I have been paralized waist up, I have seen broken bones come back together, I have seen the dead come back to life. The signs that follow the believer... Look it up end of mark KJV you need to be honest with yourself and God. You cannot just ask God in your heart either. I watched my grandma before she died who was deceived that she was saved by that. she saw satan coming to get her before she went and she was terrified. Anybody who collects money to preach is not of God of Abraham. They are business and sales is what they do. Satan himself can be transformed as a minister of light. What that means is you will think he is of Christ. Anoint your head with oil and wash it and enter in a fast no food or water for however long you feel and humble yourselves to know my God of Abraham Issac and Jacob!
