Typical Illinois idiots, always rushed like a bat out of the Lake of Fire. Nobody in this burned out snobhole (Illinois) has any cares about anyone but themselves!

Denise, stop putting the blame on everyone else about that accident. Since your son now has a warrent for his arrest there is and never has been a shadow of a doubt as to who was driving!! You people are trash and all you care about is cops, speeding, and driving like idiots. you may have a son you so call "cripple" at least he is not DEAD!!! denise wrote: Well too many people get the story wrong, yes it was an aweful accident and a great loss too.Stan was never in this God forsaken town in his life and that night he went and almost died for a girl. His now gf came to see stans brother and when he was no longer interested she hooked up with stan,They hung out for a week before the accident. He just bought a car and was happy. He told me he was going for plates and would be right back, that night he didnt return because he went to see her in Manhatten. The three went outside to smoke a cig and stan was asked by Mike to go for a ride(sister agreed to the story)with no coats, phones they jumped in the car.Rule of mustangs (never have a back seat passenger)this is why I know Stan was pushed into this.Yes there was an accident but someone in that car told him where to go,how to get to that road.He was never in that town before. And to this day the police still asked who was driving the car?We all ask this question.Had this girl not hung on my son he would not be crippled today. We all lost that day!

I was very confused as to why this suddenly showed up on my local news. I actually thought it had just happened, but upon reading the article and all of the ruthless comments, I now see what is going on. My heart goes out to the families of all three victims. As a mother I can understand fighting for your child and clearing his name, as well as the helplessness and loss associated with the tragedy. I pray for both families and the people who feel the need to impose more hell on them by posting useless and cruel comments on here. It's sad that this is society's version of entertainment....cutting these poor kids and their families down. I hope these families find peace, and the hateful people posting comments find a life.

The truth is Mikey was not trash. Someone should speak up for him. He did not deserve to suffer , the driver was old enough to know that driving 97 miles a hour down a dark road he was not familar with could end up this way. I don't think is fair that he gets to live and be part of Mikeys family. He should have said what really happened that nite , been a man, not tried to say Mikey was driving. Mikey could not drive stick shift. Whatever happens will not bring Mikey back, but the driver should never be able to drive and kill another innocent person. Rest in peace Mikey the ones who loved you will never forget you

Denise, For you to say that the police are still questioning who was driving the car is a joke! your son did not die in the accident nor did he become brain dead from the accident so I am pretty sure when the cops asked him STAN WERE YOU DRIVING YOUR NEW MUSTANG YOU JUST GOT 96 MILES AN HOUR DOWN THE ROAD WITH YOUR GIRLFRIEND IN THE FRONT SEAT AND HER BROTHER IN THE BACK HE WAS ABLE TO ANSWER YES !!!!!

One boy is dead, two other people hurt. Two families changed forever. It's so easy for people to make judgements on what happened; who was driving, who was to blame, etc., yet were you there? However, for those of you who made horrible comments based on heresay, please remember that there will come a day when someone you love makes a poor decision and gets hurt or even killed. Will you be happy to receive the same kind of comments you dished out? I think not. Please remember: A mother has lost her son, another mother has broken children whose lives will never be the same. Show some compassion. ALL OF US, NO ACCEPTIONS, HAVE MADE POOR DECISIONS IN OUR LIFETIMES yet were were lucky enough that we weren't hurt, nor did we hurt anyone else. Our decisons too could have had horrific consequences but for the grace of God. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

My heart still aches for the families and friends involved. I agree with everything you said, and wish people could be a little more compassionate and understanding.
