Continuing down rt 30, toward rt 59, watch out the plainfield :we need money: police likes to set up speed traps past the bowling alley, there is the forest preserve drive, a gravel parking lot next to the cemetary, plus at they have sat at all the corners.
Question what is the purpose of the police.. Answer> to serve and collect

On Van Dyke Road, between 143rd and 135th, just on the other side of the railroad track where there is a small industrial building (about 6 units). Almost evertime I pass there's Mr. Policeman.

A new one is Larry's Diner on Van Dyke and Rt. 126. In the evening that stop light is set way too long. There are times when I think that something is wrong with that light (since I've sat there for 5 minutes (not even kidding). Well, someone I know recently cut through Larry's Diner to get around that light and low and behold a police car got him. Instead of fixing the problem and changing the timing of the light, they set up a trap.

Oh, one other thing to mention, if anyone has ever sat at the light at Plainfield/Naperville Road on Rt. 59 (across from the Mobile), then you know that is a somewhat long light. Well, I had a truck in front of me that was not proceesing when the light turned green so I lightly tapped on my horn as a sort of wake up call. The guy still didn't move (I didn't know if he was alive, dead, having a heart attach, or what) so I started to proceed around him. Well, of course there happened to be a police officer at the light on Rt. 59 (could not see him because my view was blocked by the truck). I was pulled over and told that I used "an illegal use of horn" by beeping at the truck. So in other words, I was to sit quietly behind this truck all day. What the heck is our horn for anyway? So be warned, and do not toot your horn in this town.

most of the officers dont live in the baronary of plainfield.. any how where are they with the trucks speeding down rt. 59??? Ans. they are trolling thru neighbors yards looking at vehicel and city stickers.. years ago my father got pulled over for not having a vehicle sticker.. my father told him that he doesnt live in plainfield, he was told to get a non resident sticker or get a ticket.. dad took the ticket and fought it.. The judge threw it out and told the cop that this was a waste of time.. 53 other cases were immeaditally thrown out at the same time.. Remember the job of the plainfield police dept. is to serve and collect

They only time I've ever seen the police in my neighborhood is when they were called for all the domestic violence for a neighbor of mine. I wish they patrolled the neighborhood! No they are in the downtown Plainfield shopping district and in the summer they are at the park district pool looking for city stickers. They have laptops out in the pool parking lot going through every car. My sister received a ticket that way. Also, a neightbor of mine (who had a sticker but didn't affix it to her car yet) received a ticket for no city sticker in the parking lot of Bill Jacobs Chevrolet on Route 30. Her car was sitting in the parking lot waiting for service...I didn't think they could give tickets on private property? Oh, year, Waldorf said he was going to do away with those stickers if he was elected, ha!

I believe that they trolling thru the new subdivisions, once the papers and people were writing to the editor of enterprise and hearld news, and letting the public know, they stopped the practice. But then again, they should not have to charge for the stickers.. the village has one of the highest property taxes in the area.. so you dont want them to tack it on your property tax.. because then they jack it up the fee anytime.. but then again when was the last time the village did anything to bring down property taxes for its people? NEVER..

Oh, year, Waldorf said he was going to do away with those stickers if he was elected, ha! Well i dont know, but if they do it at the pool or at any business, then what would stop them from start doing it again trolling in the neighborhoods on private property??? Personally, its a waste of time for the sticker police for wasting taxpayers money, they should be making sure that trucks are not overwieght and ripping up the streets.. how about them taking charge of the traffic jams.. they just sit and do paper work in the car. Personally, I dont have too much faith in the police, especally when they are more concerned about stickers on cars than public safety. Thats right remember everyone They have a QUOTA! dont believe if they tell different.. if they didnt write so many.. they are not doing their job. Plus there is no extra $$$ coming in (indirect taxation), cresthill is getting as bad as plainfield. They are here to serve and collect..
