Fort Plain Police

I have heard over the past few weeks about how bad the fort plain police are, I do not agree at all. People say how the chief this and the chief that, but when it all comes down to it the man would give the shirt off his back. Put yourself in his shoes dealing with the scum of fort plain. I do respect the chief, he one of the few police officers that live in the village that he works in , and I know many officers....think about that for a while, never really leaving your job. That tells you what kind of person he is. Yes i am sure that he has his faults, but don't we all. When it comes to the BIG RAID of drugs in fort plain all i hear is the police this the police that... YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW DUMBASS do you expect for them to sugarcoat a raid,... um no. That is all I really have to say about the police force. It is always easy for people to point fingers, but do the job before you criticize others.Just remember when something bad is happening to you, they will be the first people you will call, I bet on it.........

I beieve the time has come for our three small towns to disban our local police and turn it over to the sheriffs dept. I have been told it would save thousands of dollars. After all I would rather know someone like our own home town boy Jeff Smith was looking over us.

I do understand were you are coming from, but think of this. A man breaks into your home and you call 911, you live in fort plain and the closest sheriff is in johnstown, would you want to wait for the sheriff for 30 min or have a fort plain cop 3 min away.. I know what my answer would be. Yes it would be a tax break, and yes I like jeff smith, and the sheriff dept, but what kind of price can you put on you and your family's life... just think

You're 100% right. This was tried in the village years ago and didn't work out too well.

i would also Rather have the fppd and know the cops are coming quick thn wait fo a county if my life or my familys life was on the line
