It is ridiculous that any town would be proud of that "drug bust" on marijuana, we'll see a day it's legalized in New York and every-where else.There is a lot of people here saying it is crazy that people ignore that it's illegal or excuse it, but come on it's pot, who the f*ck hasn't smoked it?And I don't believe anybody who doesn't put there actual name on there post should use somebody else's name in there comments, that is such a pussy thing to do

This to me is amazing. Their are 85 posts about a dumb ass drug bust in town. People were breaking the law, they got caught, their going to jail, end of story. If you don't want your name in the paper or on the internet, don't break the law. Yeah all I here is that it was just pot, yeah it is not a hard drug, I do agree, but a law is a law.

I agree. There are marijuana busts all over this country, not just in Fort Plain. What I believe makes everyone angry is that all of you didnt think that the Police in Fort Plain were capable of this, and they obviously are. They beat you at your own game, and if you think that they did not, then you must be real bad at it becuase they caught you! You cant hide that. They beat you! I say score 1-FPPD 0- Druggies

That Very day on 10/19/09 A new law went into effect,They are releasing people out of the prisons on Drug Charges,Worst Drugs than a little pot,You are right someday it will be legal,Its legal now for medical use,and it is illegal to posses it,But noone said you cant smoke it!1 It is no different than coming home from a hard days work and instead of having a beer or glass of wine you decide to smoke or share a joint, Most of these people that got busted work hard for thier money and pay taxes like every body else,I say leave the pot heads alone and go get the crack heads!

PLEASE proofread your comments before posting them. Do you realize how stupid you sound. AND we do not really care about your age, just your mentality.

If it was legal, they could tax it and our property taxes would go down. If it was legal, farmland around here would be worth a fortune. If it was legal, a lot of the fat slobs around here would have good jobs and be driving new pickups. If it was legal, you wouldn't have no problems with the cops because,....well, it would be legal. Just think of the bales of hemp that would be shipped out amd the money that would roll in.

wow are we all reverting or what..to act childish is not getting yuor point across...the point is people got busted and yes it was a bogus bust when there are so many worse things out ther that need to be taken care of..but we should not lower ourselves to adolesents,do something about it go to your congressmen and senators go with a strong enough case and watch the wheels start to turn..we will get nowhere in less people stop complaining and start taking action..It will never be legal until we push the envelope and start complaining to the ones that can trully make a difference and that isnt here...

Hey Otis, just how many times a week do you bend over and touch your ankles?

Last time I did that toilet stopper, I cracked my stinkbone and had to sit on a block of ice for a couple of days. Otherwise I'll be at the Fort Plain Hotel sippin a cold one and staring at welfare chicks. Iffin you stare at them long enough they will go with you to the parking lot. Jus steer clear of Barbara Lou cuz she got warts where you don't want em. Merle found out the hard way after going with her to his mini van with the jacked up rear end and gutter downspouts for duel exhaust pipes. Not too cool at all. My Ford was cooler than that before I got the double DWI that night with those two chicks that was robbin supermarkets by walking out the door with shopping carts stuffed with all sorts of weirdo stuff. Got a years prohibition for that one.
