meth lab

5 months ago we hear that there was an arrest for the largest meta lab in chuck garnatis career. Now it is said that heather ashmore is now only getting 24 months probation??? Once again, we r reminded how our justice system fails, I guess chuck garnati will not get on the news and talk about how she got like he did when she was arrested. Ridiculous . I guess the example made out of her is get caught with 100 plus grams of meth and walk away with no jail time

Well look at Attorney Drew he was convicted of Carrying Cocaine into the Federal Prison and he only got 16 months and they have him in a halfway house now;so what they will do is keep him there 6 months which would be 1/3 rd of his time and then he will receive good time for his time served,so he will never see a day behind bars in my opinion, but if it were you or me or our children they would get 15-25 no questions asked.

Yes, I agree. I was told she is unemployed, not connected politically but apparently was sleeping with a JC police officer. It just saddens me that it could have been my son or someone else's that this awful drug was distributed too! Meth is extremely dangerous and with a lab of that size found in the house there is absolutely no reason for her to be on the street.

Obviously if any of you knew her you would know she is not bright enough to run this kind of operation, nor is smart enough to realize some junky was using her to do his meth trash in her house. From what I know, it is not what the news made it seem. Im sure the cops wanted a huge pat on the back for busting the "king pin" drug dealer but in reality they did nothing. Found a girl who was hooked on meth for maybe a couple of months, distributed by some low life and just happened to be the only one to blame.(not that she was completely innocent by all means) Dont get me wrong, I feel sorry for anyone who does this and quite disgusted, but please keep in mind that her daughter does get on here and some things just need to not be talked about. I am sure a lot of peoples children get on here. It is sad that her children have to see it on the news as well. The fact is there was a meth lab in her home, and contained over 160 grams of meth. It should not matter if she is smart or not, she knew what was going on and allowed it in her home.....and where was her kids? In the home as well? Very sad. I am not speaking necessarily about her as a person, but the case in general. I do not think your reply would be the same if it were a male in Johnston city it happened to. Well he should not get jail time because I don't think he is smart enough to make it? Get real. We have a justice system for a reason. I am not on here to argue, just again an outraged citizen. We have our states attorney on news saying how happy he is to have stopped such a large amour of meth. Then goes to say he needs to make an example out of it?? Does probation show people an example? No. Luckily the meth was disposed of and not sold to others.

Regardless of who made the call, it was wrong. Make meth, smoke meth, walk away free. Makes no sense.

Thats just it..the news and people like you blow this whole thing into something it was not. Do I agree with the whole situation? No. No normal person would. The fact that they think they got some big drug dealer off the streets and that this was a huge bust for the county is absurd. If they wanted to get the main dealers they probably should have done a bit more investigative work. That would have been more beneficial to the county. As far as a meth lab and the amount..not true,its not even close to the truth, however it made the states attourney sound great. Im sure you believe all the stuff in the trash magazines too though. I do agree that the justice system has failed multiple times in certain situations but not in this case. When the facts were out it was clear it was not her ditributing or making meth nor was all that found in the house. Im not trying to say she was innocent but in this case she was accused of a crime that was not clear at the time and put out there for your single minded judgement....but im sure that wasnt on the news. Would you believe the truth if it was on the news? probably.. As far as if it was a guy or a girl? What does this have to do with anything? seriously? who cares. Im just stating that I know her and this is not a crime that she is capable of commiting. Doing drugs at the time??..Yes Being used by some low life??..yes Has she paid for all this..? Yes but hopefully she will move into a postive direction and get her life back together. Actually I do not buy tray gossip magazines thank u. However, I have always considered news 3, kfvs 12, and the channel 6 news to be legitimate information, not gossip channels to just be out for a big money story. If she was innocent as u say, then complain to them about how she was ran down for no reason. As far as getting used by a low life....is she 10 years old and getting taken advantage of? No, not at all. She is a grown woman able to make decisions on her own. As adults we are responsible for our actions. Every decision has a consequence and she should have thought of that before smoking more brain cells away. Again, it is nice to know that our children will not be receiving this drug because of her. And since she is not the" king pen" dealer then hopefully she told on the one who is to keep our kids safe. I have no vendetta against her personally, but I do against anyone who is on that type of drug that could be out harming our kids. If she did not go to jail and has not gotten professional help then she is sure to get caught again and maybe it will be more than a slap on the wrist. As far as her child, sad if she does read this....but this is a cake walk compared to the picture and stories on the news. Further, with a mother on meth, her child has seen far worse than this post, the kid had to live with it. Take care as well. U seem like a good friend to her so be sure and stress how harmful it is and hopefully she stays clean

First of all she was aware what was in the house and knew what was going on regardless of the amount. Second she is an adult and knew it was wrong regardless of how naive it's being said she is. Third she got off lucky and needs to get her life together for her and her daughter. she has a second chance and should use it. The family is left to pick up the pieces of their lives.

Thank you. I was wondering if I was crazy for thinking adults are responsible for their actions. Someone has made it seem personal as if I have an issue with her. The fact is I was speaking of it only because we were all informed of what happened then it was just found out she has no consequences for her actions. It is not against her, I would the same about anyone who was arrested then slapped on the wrist. As far as her family, it is too bad for them. They are the ones who will suffer for her actions. Lord please watch over them as they get through this time.

Ur right it doesn't matter to those that were affected by it. Wether it was meth or just the residue really doesn't make a difference when it comes down to it does it.

This is the second time I have had to get on here and let you all know that not one of you know the truth ... but its so funny to hear what you think is true really grow up for the sake of yourself and your family what happened happened and its all over with now and I would appreciate if her name stayed off this stupid cite ...topix was not meant for immature people to get on here and mouth off. We are as a family trying to get passed it and move on
