County denies tax relief

Speechless. That's the reaction of John and Susan Shedio after learning that the McKean County Board of Commissioners voted earlier this week to deny a partial 2007 tax exoneration for their Kane property - " the former Kane Handle plant.

I can't believe the county dropped the ball on this. If the Boro decided it was worth more to forgive the tax revenue in favor of possible future jobs, what is the county going to get out of it? The building's junk. There is nomore railroad siding. What could those couple of acres be worth in Kane dollars? Not much I would thing.

I own property I dont get no tax relief.
