In this case this action was not called for. The cop is an ass. The grany is an ass too. But the cop needs a shrink.

What has the world come to that A Cop tazes an elderly woman. That Cop should be put on unpaid leave until the case is further examined. That Cop could have Killed that poor Woman or given her a heart attack.

Deputy Bieze gave this woman nine separate orders to comply, and nine separate times she defiantly refused. She gave every indication that she had made the decision to be uncontrollable. In this day and age, anyone from age eight to age ninety-eight can be demented, drugged-up, and/or armed. Deputy Bieze did exactly the right thing. In her agitated state, he may in fact have saved her life. I hope that, in time, she wises up enough to realize that.

I love how the majority of the civilian population are always stunned and outraged when they see somebody get tazed. And they seem to believe that just because a person is elderly, they should be treated differently than anybody else. Its probably better for the old lady that she was tazed rather than put down with the asp, as those could potentially break bones. As to the mentality behind older people being treated differently than everyone else due to their age....look what happened at the holocaust museum. Was that man not elderly as well?

When will people learn to listen to the men and women of law enforcement?

If she would have said 'waterboard me', then I'd have to give her some cred.

If a cop can't handle the situation any better than he did, he's a bigger ass than she is. There was no reason to tase granny. He needs to find another line of work.

I love seeing loud mouth women and the tough guy resisting arrest, getting tased. Shortly afterwards they cry, fall and they obey.

Don't you think your thinking is a bit off? What, are you having a bad day? Granny asked for what she in fact received and she's still being difficult and hasn't learned anything. Granny maybe shouldn't be driving anymore and maybe won't be after her day in court.

The dude needs to lose his job...that tazer could have killed her. Makes you wonder how many big strong men he's let go because he obviously doesn't like dealing with people his own size. What a Disgrace!

It's amusing (in a sad sort of way) how people seem to think the cop's job is to make friendly suggestions and submit them for your consideration, and then if you think it's not too much trouble, you might decide to let him do his thing.

Our legal system has remedies for those who feel the police have overstepped their bounds. That venue is the courts. But at the scene, at the time of questioning, the police officer runs the show. You have only one job-- to comply. Right now. If you have objections, tell them to the judge. You'll get your chance. But if you view a traffic stop as your big opportunity to "stand up to The Man," then you DESERVE what happens next.

Seek some help. You're an incredibly repulsive person. It makes me sick to think about people like you abusing power in our country.

I think the deputy could have just cuffed her, without tasing her. Sometimes, people die from getting tased.

What part of "she specifically asked for it" don't you understand? She basically told the police officer she wasn't going to comply with his requests until she was tazzered. Today's many 72 year olds are not harmless by a long shot. Even after being tazzered, she still has plenty of energy to raise hell. She'd better be careful. The judge could order a psyche evaluation on her because of her age and she could find herself plunked in a nursing home where she wouldn't cause any trouble like that again. Seriously. She should be concerned about what her punishment is going to be. The first thing the judge is going to think about this "harmless" gramma-like lady is that she must be nuts.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Aquarius

Yesterday you had a good control over the workings of your mind, but sadly that isn't the case today. Instead, your thoughts are wandering in every direction except the one you need to concentrate on. The result will be a sense of being disconnected from what's going on around you and possibly even a dreamlike quality to the day. Don't make any decisions while you're like this.
