Danny Good unqualified

After Senior Night At Daniel Boone it is obvious Danny Good does not know what he is doing.

After Danny Goods actions on athletic committee while serving as School Board member it is obvious Danny Good is not honest,not ethical,and not concerned.

After Danny Goods raising prices of admission fees to try and help cover a fraction of his salary it is obvious he does not care about the parents and hard economic times.

After Clarence Mabes and Danny Goods defense of how his salary and the other salaries along with Good himself by having ball tournaments held here it is obvious these two think the people of this area are stupid.

After the 2010 election it will be obvious if the voters in this county are fed up and decide to vote to protect our schools,to protect our wallets and to promote integrity or if the voters are just plain stupid for putting these selfserving crooks ahead of thier families.

Danny is unqualified and it is truly a shame that he was hired as the athletic director of Daniel Boone High School. Boone has always prided itself for high scholastic accomplishments and his hire with his lack of education and experience pierces the backbone of Boone's long standing scholastic tradition. It appears that the truth is comming out of the wood work so to speak. Good was on the same athletics committee that created his job, which is a terrible violation of ethics and the law according to newspaper reports a couple of months ago. The school board and Good should hear from the citizens as often as possible how disgruntled they are with there atheltics decisions, especially when the board is adding new positions that cost lots of money and families paying taxes are suffering financially during the worst recession in many years.

Two ways to look at it-Danny Good was smart enough to dupe the board(although not real hard I guess given some their stupid actions and stupid statements)but dumb enough to think the people wouldnt find out or be upset when they did. STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES.

He is not all bad and yes the only thing he will say is he didnt know everyone would get this upset. Now come on if you are a sitting Schoolboard member and have paid attention to the budget needs,slow economy,teachers not getting raises for 2-3 yrs,lack of much needed instructional assistants,property taxes going up while you create a 50,000 yr job for yourself while other are losing theres. Athletic directors position was part-time before and no it is not true this position will not pay for itself in spite of one of his first actions was raising prices on ballgames.

Danny was never elected by the citizens of Washington County in the first place. He was chosen by the county commission to finish another board memeber's term who left his seat early. Do not be fooled by the wholesome image portrayed in the public by Good or any other politician for that matter. If he is not all that bad, why has he brought great embarrassment upon Washington County Schools, Waschington County citizens, and the professional educators who work for Washington County? He did not think everyone would get this upset because simple minds think in simple terms. He, along with a number of board members believe that they are above the laws of this state and policies of Washington County. For once the citizens and evidently the teachers of Washington County stood up for what they believed and addressed the board of education through the Teachers' Union. I am basing the previous statement on a Johnson City Press article that reported how the law had been broken. If am correct, the Teachers' Union was portraying the feelings and thoughts of the people in which they represent-the teachers and school administrators. One might ask, why teachers hide behind the Union? The answer is simple. Politics in local public education is fierce and even as dirty as Washington politics. Washington politics maybe be a litte cleaner because the 24 hour news cycle reports on it and possible creates some transparency. If our local media and press would investigate deeper on some of the bullying tactics and dirty politics practiced by the school board, the public would be appauled. When integrity and fair dealings are pushed to the corner, the truth has now where to go expect burst into the air where everyone will eventually see the corrupt fireworks to be displayed for all eyes and ears to witness. This, as our founders desinged for future generations, should be handled in the voting booth next election. The board members who chose to allow Danny to be hired should be held responsible by the voting process.

There were other coaches more qualified that had been in the system. I quess they were not considered!!! Good flunked out of college!!

I love how we are supposed to be trimming our budgets in Washington County. Our school board just put academics in the back seat by making a part-ytime position full time and than lowering the qualifications for a proven loser. You dont make a non academic position full time in recessions. Oh but you do if you have a hasbeen good ballplayer from 25 yrs ago and some local politicians trying to repay a favor for a hasbeen Dot Good who was active in politics yrs ago. What a legacy SELF SERVING LIARS WHO SCREWED THE TEACHERS AND TAXPAYERS.

Good must be looking for redemption as I have seen him at church the last few weeks. Very cocky and still has high opinion of himself even in light of his dishonesty. Change is possible and hopefully our church will have influence on his daughter.

Why is Mr Good's daughter being brought into this discussion.
