That clears things up a bit. I agree with portions of what you said. And im sure they will have that one day with the arenas.tourbus and whatnot. I know whats most important to them though is giving people music to listen to for moments in life that are the hardest to deal with. With all those bs lyrics you hear these days im just happy to hear someone playing something that actually touches deep down and helps people cope with hard times in life. And i agree they arent creating a new genre of there own. It is a mixture of there greatest influences mixed with there own flare and meaning felt lyrics to reach out to people in need. Either way. They are great musicians and great people and i know they will make it far. Constructive criticism is good though and im sure if they ever see these posts they will take in the good and the bad from it to further themselves as musicians. Some of the comments on here though are very ignorant. But what can ya do? Everyone likes there own thing. Keep pushin on Lovely Goodbye you have my support! Retired From The Biz wrote: Hmm, where to begin. Fan of LG - I never said they sucked, actually I didn't comment on their music much at all. I only said they weren't very innovative which is true. Even their own advertisement says the same. I quote, "A shot of both New and Old rock thrown into a blender, mixed with Everclear..." That hardly depicts something new fresh and innovative. I used but a handful of bands spanning over 45 years as examples all from the same basic genre. For 45+ years people were able to be truly innovative and original. I never said bands like Matchbox 20, Gin Blossoms, or Weezer sucked or played crappy music. What I did say is that music is music and what you consider real(or good or bad) is just that, what you consider. It's your opinion or preference and doesn't mean in the least that someone else's opinion or preference is anything less. There are some bands that have great staying power like Led Zeppelin for example, 30 years since their last studio release and they are still played daily on the radio by any station that plays rock music. Then there are good bands and even flash in the pan bands that come and go and finally there's the one hit wonders all of which have fans and haters. Why? Because it's all about musical preference of the individual. Now with respect to the 90's grunge and 80's hair bands, yes a lot of the them sounded the same but for each of those genres there were the innovators, the ones who for the most part originated the sound that others emulated. So again there were the innovators and those that were good bands but yet were not very innovative. In closing, I didn't bash anyone's band and as for LG getting ready to embark on something "I wish I could have done", I've already been there, done that, and have dozens of T shirts. As a matter of fact I bet I was doing it back when they and probably you were still wearing diapers. When LG starts filling arenas with 20K+ fans a few times a week living out of a bus or plane working 16+ hours a day for months on end for years on end to make sure the show goes on then they'll be entering my old league. I've worked with bands as big as they come, made a damn good living at it and yes am now retired to my nice little piece of quiet heaven. To Amanda - It's pretty obvious you're nothing but an over opinionated mouthy little c*nt with very little knowledge about music in general. Take your melodramatic over emotional ignorance and go jump up and down at a Justin Bieber concert with the rest of the little kids.

GROW THE F*CK UP this is 2011 its not the 50 or 60's when rock was established and there was a reason that no one sounded like elvis before elvis its because he created that genre you dum*ass so called producer.... if your a f*cking producer then im a jew! Tsk, Tsk, Tsk.... Poor little Erika, you have the reading comprehension of a grade school drop out and I can only surmise that yeast infected puss filled festering hole in your face is what you use as a mouth. I never said I was a producer, I said I was a technician and a production manager, you'd know the difference if you weren't such an emotionally unstable pile of sh*t with the mentality 7 year old Downs Syndrome patient. Of course most people wouldn't know who am, my job wasn't to be well known by the public. My job was to work behind the scenes to ensure stupid little twots like you got to see and hear the best show possible, deal with contracts, production riders, and a host of other technical things that enable the musicians to do what they do. Although, my name does appear in the credits listing of several album/CDs which I'm sure is more than you can say for yourself and your apparently vast knowledge of music and it's industry you no doubt obtained from hours of watching MTV. I'd imagine the only place your name appears where the public can view it is the local police reports. The fact of the matter is I never claimed to know everything about music but I've already forgotten more about music and how it's industry works than you'll ever know. Erika wrote: Dear in the biz... I'd have to say that LG band is definitely not innovating but on the other hand no one in today's music really is! If they are then they are usually experimental bands! Most of those bands don't make alot of radio time and don't really care if they make main stream radio! I do disagree with some of you though! Their songs are very radio friendly to the commen listeners and if that's what they are going for and want to be then I say go for it! No shame in that at all!

Listened to them and they're not bad for a local group. But I've heard other bands who are just as good or even better who never made it big. The record industry is tough, even for established groups who never make it past a sophomore album. I wish them luck, cause it's a rocky road to stardom.

dear in the biz, you are an incompetent retard. None of the shit you say even makes since, and saying big words dont make you look any more intelligent. Lovely goodbye plays the music they love playing and they are good at it, it is radio music. You are old minded and dont know much, except for what the back of a viagra bottle looks like.

Erika Erika, is that the best you could muster for a comeback? Tell you what, I'm a little bored so I'll waste a few minutes showing you what a complete ass you are. Erika wrote: None of the shit you say even makes since, and saying big words dont make you look any more intelligent. You're right, none of it makes SINCE you poorly educated half-wit, but all of it makes SENSE to people with more than a grade school drop out education. As for using big words... In perusing over my post I don't see where I used any big words, there's nothing there but the common vernacular. Erika wrote: Lovely goodbye plays the music they love playing and they are good at it, it is radio music. I never said they weren't good players, I never said they don't like their own music and I've never commented on their music's target. I simply said they weren't very innovative and while that is true it's hardly insulting. Now, quit making shit up and putting words in my mouth, you're just showing yourself to be a liar and manipulator. Erika wrote: You are old minded and dont know much, except for what the back of a viagra bottle looks like. Old minded, funny I've never thought of being only 45 as old. As a matter of fact most people would say someone who could afford to retire at age 43 did so at a very young age and must have been very smart to make enough money and manage it so wisely. While I'm definitely the richest man in town what I can proudly say is that I don't have to work another day in my life if I don't want to and I'll never have to rely on a hand out from the government. If you consider 45 old then it just goes to show what a young inexperienced at life emotionally unstable little twot you are. As for my mind, it's still sharp as a tack and my views of the music industry and how it works are hardly old or outdated. Now as to the Viagra comment, All I can say is that if I were to lower my standards and attempt to have sex with something completely repulsive and repugnant as you with your lack of basic education, delusions of grandeur, and more than likely questionable personal hygiene, even a whole case of Viagra wouldn't be enough to get me in the mood.

Are you f**king people serious? jrk in greeneville? and retired from the biz? lol You two obviously have no life. So apparently its ok to bash on a band cause you have no life but someone defends the group so you feel the need to bash on them too. You are both losers. Get off the f**king post if you have nothing better to do than to hate. You dont like the music thats cool. Shut the F**k up and click the back button and never return you useless pricks.. And to ever started this post i dont think the band would appreciate you staring this post even though you did it out of good will. Everyone knows there is nothing but hateful people on topix...

Wtf, What is it with you idiots around here did all of you drop out of school before you learned to read something beyond See Spot Run? I never bashed this band or any other band in any of my postings. Who the fuck are you to tell anyone what and where they can post you little sawed off peckerwood. If I feel so inclined I'll bash who I want, when I want, where I want, any damn time I want, and you can go suck a horse's ass until it's lungs collapse if you don't like it. Run along you little dipshit, go suck on your mother's tit some more, it's obvious you still have a lot of growing up to do.
