BULLSEYE!! A "permit" is a "Permission" slip. which is paid to the local king, to do something on the Kings property. Because we own nothing in America. Nothing.

Seems to me giving out that kind of permit would just be asking for trouble.

I go to Korean saunas all the time. Some of those saunas are extremely hot. But I know to get up and stay hydrated. If you have certain conditions, you are supposed to know not to go in.

Well that is a completely differnt story. There are saunas in that area, too. I would suspect if they were simply doing a sauna thing, they might have used common sense and got water when they felt the need.

The article specifically said "sweat lodge". Similar to a sauna, but NOT a sauna. That means they were on some kind of religion kick. Probably were doing anything and everything that new age hippie leader was telling them, even if it was against their better judgment.

That was the big issue here. The one running it wasn't even a qualified Shaman or Medicine Man to have such a thing. It was a capitalist business preying upon the purile wanting a theme party. The theme was NA things that make them feel better.

If you ever get a chance to - try a Russian (or Ukranian) banya.

The real Russians tend to keep their hot rooms pretty dry, but they crank the heat up way beyond anyone else.
