My husband just told me that he was out on the oilfield rig thursday night at 9:00pm and one of his crew members killed another worker, Glenn Owen (19 years Old) by accident...that he was crushed by a pipe? I was wondering if it was true or not. I couldn't find any news about the accident or about Caliber Casing Company? If you could let me know, thanks. Sorry if he is dead, poor guy...:(

My brother was killed on aug.25 in a semi truck wreck hauling pipe in the oil flelds outside of Vernal, Utah. I looked and looked thur several newspapers local to Vernal and never did find anything about the wreck. I finelly emailed the editor of the Untah Basin Standard asking for info . The email I recieved in return said there are "so many deaths in the oils fields" that the newspapers don't cover them .

I worked for caliber casing. The owner is J.t. Teage. He don't care about nothing. He works them guy's long hours. He knows the machines are broke and he still sends you out.If you refuse to go he won't pay you your check.I worked for him for 2 years. I quit cause too many people where getting hurt. We tell him something is broke he don't care. I told him someone would end up getting hurt badly. I knew glen he was a good kid. He was jt grandsons best friend.I just pray nobody else gets hurt or dies.

I am truly sorry for the loss of one of our oil patch partners. I want to remind everyone who reads this that safety should always put safety first and if something doesnt seem right to take some time and be try to come up with a solution to the problem. Always remember to be careful and remember about the ones at home who depend on you to return home safely after yoer hitch.

Very sorry for the loss of Glens' life, my sympathies to all whose lives have been affected by his or any of the many who have lost their loved ones. I was led to this forum doing a search for F.L. Reece and/or Shirley Teague. I was told that F.L. was working for Caliber Casing and I need to get some important information to him but have since found out he no longer works for Caliber. I found the remarks made by "Hick" rather interesting as I worked for J.T. Teague when he had a company in Oklahoma. From what "Hick" stated this is not accurate information unless J.T. has drastically changed and I seriously doubt that. Especially given the fact he was his usual generous, kind, caring, self along with his lovely wife in giving F.L. a chance after his release from prison. F.L. has ruined his oil field reputation in Oklahoma yet J.T. and his wife helped him through his prison term, along with his last female enabler Shirley Teague who now has a U.S. Postal case filed against her. If any of you know F.L. you might want to give him a message that he needs to contact either his sister or his last ex as their is some information he truly does need to know for his own benefit. Wish you guys all the best, please be safe out there and remember that drugs/alcohol and the oil field do not make for a safe working place for anyone. Warm Smiles, PurrfectlyMe

The media will not cover anything negative about the oilfield I have lost my farm of 20 years and being foreclosed on because of this abuse. When I wrote the politicians of Oklahoma asking for help they told me. We do not have jurisdiction to help. They want my vote but they can't help the people. What you received is called a block letter. So sorry to hear about your brother there will be more lives lost from oilfield abuse than there will be in Iraq. katpohl wrote: My brother was killed on aug.25 in a semi truck wreck hauling pipe in the oil flelds outside of Vernal, Utah. I am a very dear friend of Glen Owen's mother. This whole thing makes me want to throw up, and i also have to ask myself; What country are we living in? The State of Utah, J.T. Teague, and Caliber casing will get theirs, someday, somehow. What goes around comes around. Period.

to Rhett Poore: watch what you say. you were not there. the state of Utah, Mr. Teague or Caliber had nothing to do with Glen's death. I suppose you never thought that perhaps Glen had been smoking pot before going on the job!!!!!
