Well, it looks like the bribe didn't help because OSSAA took action against Trimble anyway. I think giving up spring ball was a bit much though because the athletes are going to pay the price for that. They know how important spring ball is toward honing their skills and making them better players.

I agree,,, once the penalties effect the regular player/student,, it has the potential of getting in the way for a player to have the necessary football field skills to be a true candidate for a scholarship...

I wonder how much it costs to buy the OSSAA...

It must be the other board members holding out, Spring didn't want to do anything to them so they could have gotten her for a dollar.

Remember the Photo of OSSAA members at a conference table..with "packet-copies" at each of their seats?
Well, guess what, boys'girls...they did NOTHING in Investigation. that was handed to them.
What if...Jenks had said to the OSSAA: "you do the accusing...then you do the investigating....."
Do you realize how far away we would still be from any type of conference or meeting? That includes the infamous Tulsa World!
My point? Jenks did the crime, did the time, did the blood-letting...to appease-the-Gods...and the OSSAA says this:
"thank you for doing our homework, but we almost forgot...you need to pay us some money..."
So classey!

or.......... It is something like "we will give you the playoff ticket money" as a way to not get deemed ineligible for this year's playoffs. Ever think of that? The athletic department has proven itself to be unethical for a decade. Do you really think they don't have anything to gain by giving the money to the association?

Why h e ll yes, when the coachs do something illegal it should affect the kids. If the coachs really cared for the kids instead of their own ego they wouldnt break the law. What better way to teach the children not to cheat.

The Coach was also looking after the ego of the School Board, Administration -Top and High School and community. They all share responsibility.

How long are we going to continue to beat this dead horse. Let's move on. Why doesn't the media start picking on BT Washington? They are being charged with the same offenses but you sure don't see the BTW story as a feature story.

If you weren't a day late and dollar short you would have read the BTW featured story earlier in the week. And it is not BT Washington...and it is not Washington... or Tulsa Washington..... It is Booker T. Washington

The Jenks was a headline story, on the Newson6 home page in all of its glory. The "Booker T. Washington" (my mistake) was burried in the okblitz.com site. Excuse my terminology in web story placements. Jenks is still getting hammered within the media even today but nothing is said about Booker T. Washington's offense.
