Good Day,
Huh - now that seems strange. Missing teeth and a disheleved look... destitute, homeless, mentally ill? Steelie |

|
Someone escaped from the old people home in Jenison. I'm sure officers have permission to shoot suspect on sight.

"In Jenison!" As if Jenison is an off limits community? hahaha Think again. Everyone, everywhere has potential to be a victim of crime. Be aware and be smart.
Sounds like this gal may be mentally unbalanced and/or on drugs. When she wanders in your house call 911 and get her some help! |

What? You don't think there might be destitute/desparate people in Jenison? You think they're all rich, be real...
ONTOH--Maybe the homeless woman bit was just a disguise |
||||
|
Well, apparently she was looking for someone to rob... she was looking for money is the second house.

This happened on Astronaut Ave, off Baldwin...did these people call the police?...or try to detain her?(couldn't be that difficult if she was an old women).I recognized the houses on the news and saw the channel8 news van there this afternoon...

Why are all these doors open? This is no longer the 50's. You need to lock your doors unless you want unwanted visitors. I would never leave my doors unlocked!

There are some weirdo people that are roaming around that section of West Michigan. I think it is too much Russ' glow in the dark gravy that leads to these sorts of things. Lock your doors folks.

We have had these magazine sellers and worlds finest chocolates sellers for Holland Youth Home (which does not exsist) on and off for 3 years. They will come early in the morning and stay all day going door to door. They are only casing your neighborhood. The best thing to do is start a neighborhood watch or if you have a homeowners association vote on no solicitation signs if your township allows them. They usually come in a white conversion van with dark tinted windows. Most of the occupants look homeless or crippled. They also will have at least 2 other vehicles like older broncos or vans dropping them off and picking them up. They have nextel phones that they communicate with. Last time they came in my neighborhood 5 of the 8 occupants had out standing warrants.

This is about 2 blocks from my house. But I lock my doors because I know better - I grew up in GR. Crime happens everywhere! I know for some Jenison residents, it is hard to believe that people can invade your "bubble," but this is the real world! Get with the program and lock your doors.

8 years ago, I had a neighborhood mental man in his 40's who was walking try to get in my front door while I physically had to struggle to shut it. I called the police, and they came back 25 minutes later and said " dont worry about him, he's just a drunk and a glue sniffer,we've dealt with him before. We'll bring him down to the station and let him go in the morning" A checked around and found out this guy does that kind of stuff to people all the time, only he wasnt so harmless. He was kind of an "informant" and he had been known for starting a lot of bar fights and had an extensive criminal record for robberies and assaults. They need to keep these people off the streets for longer than one night and not just assume their "informant" wont be harmless to everyone.

I was at work the other day and a bunch of people were in from out of state for a meeting. One woman was telling all the rest of the people about how she went to a restaurant and you called your order in to the kitchen. Some guy asked her, so you call before you go?, and she said no, once you're in your booth, you look at the menu, decide what you want, and then pick up the phone and order it. LOL |
