Three-man race set for District Attorney; Reeves challenges Johnson for judge

Three candidates officially threw their hats in the ring for District Attorney in the Seventh Judicial District during qualifying last week, including Brad Burget, Andy Magoun and Ronnie McMillin.

I would like to know more aboutRonnie McMillin and Andy Magoun, because I want to Support some one.I sure hope Brad Burget doesn't get it.He will do anything to get a conviction.!!!

Magoun is a nice guy (he also has a website if you want to check it out..not sure of the address, but should be able to google it), but lacks the experience, in my opinion. You are right about Burget! |

andy magoun is a very experienced attorney, having both plaintiff and defense experience. he is also a very good guy.

Brad Burget is not a man of good moral character. He's a big bully and a manipulative liar. Yes, he might have a high "conviction rate"--but at what cost? He's been planning this run with Randy Maxwell since he began law school! Every step and career move he's made has been well thought out and calculated.

there is now evidence that Burget lied to the Minister's alliance, when asked if he were friends with three Jefferson parish ADA's who wore neckties with nooses to trials involving black defendants. The event made national news, yet, He tried to lead them to believe these acts occurred after he came here, when in fact it was in 2002. He then said he "knew" them but it was a big office-and turnover was high. Information has now been found that not only did he know two of them, but he was a major financial contributor to one of their campaigns (actually the very 1st contributor, and the other person was the campaign manager). Go to theconcordiaunderground.org for the actual state campaign finance records, and the video of him lying to the alliance, and the people of Concordia parish.
