Should some of the millions being made of the sale of alcohol at the casino be used for a youth center? Maybe a boys and girls club? This would be an excellent service to the community. That is what public service is about after all. Isn't it!

Jimmy Carter, and Obama does the best he can in a political world that requires 280 million dollars to be elected president. Corruption is ramped because corporations and big banks have the power. Things have to change for the sake of generations to come. What will it cost to become president 20 yrs. From now. A billion dollars?

How many parents have gotten drunk off her booze and gambled away their childrens college fund? Does this sound like public service, or a disservice to the community? And no the kids could not have stopped this from happening!

Was it the children's fault? Will the children pay for the life style that was offered to their parents by a public servant?

give me a break...how many people does the casino employee? how many tax dollars come out of their pay checks that go into the system? how many houses are purchased because these people are working? people will gamble, drink etc by choice whether it is here or in las vegas. the problem is that people can't control themselves and do everything in excess.

The problem is this destructive activity was provided by an assembly women. Take away the booze and people who realistically can't afford to loose would have made better choices, and left before loosing everything! I am for the native Americans! This has nothing to do with taxes! This is about a public official who was elected to better the community, and instead chose to take a step back while banking millions! I believe that is called blood money! Or better known as corruption!

It didn't hurt to be a well-connected greaseball among a community of greaseballs to fool the voters every 2 years. I remember when she first ran...she married a roman and lived in Rome but to get people from Utica to vote for her she used her maiden name, Maggellino, a prominent name in Yootica. This way all the Utica greaseballs have their name recognition to vote for her. Then the state's top greaseball, Andy "asswipe" Cuomo gives her a gravy dept. head job at $165K a year. This is how this area is run, on all levels. Any questions??

I agree this is a grey area. As grey as what was done to there people? Not in my opinion. We can't forget the fact that the native americans employ more than 2000 people whom all pay taxes. Instead of collecting unemployment.

A local politician who owned several businesses at the same time in office? Sounds like corruption to me. One of her ex-employees also once told me that she made them stay late at the beeches but made them clock out at 10. Wow really roanne? You did so much business that day that it took an extra hour to clean up yet you couldn't afford to pay your boys? That tells me all I need to know about the woman and her ethics

Isn't it ironic that the alcohol we sold them on. Contributed to those bad decisions being made?

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Aries

Keep a firm grip on your money today to avoid anyone else getting their mitts on it. If you're out in public you should keep your wallet or bag clamped to your side, just in case it goes walkabout. You should also make sure you check any bills and invoices that you're given, in case they contain a mistake. It's a day when errors and deceptions are highly likely.
