Oh by the way, in case you're wondering why you lost the election read the Virginian Pilot; you truly are a disgrace to Southern Shores. You claim you did more for SS than any other mayor; you're crazy if you truly believe your own bs. You were and are an embarrassment to all.

I am one who judges a man or woman by how they treat me; and not by what others say about them.
With that said, let it be known that I was not a Don Smith for Mayor supporter.
However, I have had the pleasure of having more than one encounter (as a resident of SS) with Smith's wife and the town manager. On each and every occasion I have found both of them to be friendly, congenial, helpful and knowledgable, and have no reason whatsoever to think they are not worthy of the positions they hold. I have asked for help from both of them and got help. So, I think it's time everyone got off their backs, unless they have "specific" reason to complain. So far I haven't seen anything but "guilt by association" coming from the gripers on this forum
Gee whiz folks, Smith is the mayor...do you not expect town employees to respect his positions and carry out the directive of him and his board? Don't blame town workers for bad politican decisions. JMO

You're experiences with Mr. and Mrs. Mayor have obviously been wonderful. Good for you. If the "gripping" on this thread is bothersome to you don't "thread"; find another forum that doesn't offend you.

Well, Miss Junebug...why don't you give us some specific personal examples (not hearsay) to defend your position that the town manager and town adm. person is not qualified for their jobs.
