“Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism”
Across the United States, religious activists are organizing to establish an American theocracy. A frightening look inside the growing right-wing movement. By Michelle Goldberg Fascism isn’t imminent in America. But its language and aesthetics are distressingly common among Christian nationalists. History professor Roger Griffin described the “mobilizing vision” of fascist movements as “the national community rising Phoenix-like after a period of encroaching decadence which all but destroyed it”(his italics). The Ten Commandments has become a potent symbol of this dreamed-for resurrection on the American right. True, our homegrown quasi-fascists often appear so absurd as to seem harmless. Take, for example, American Veterans in Domestic Defense, the organization that took the Ten Commandments on tour. The group says it exists to “neutralize the destructiveness” of America’s “domestic enemies,” which include “biased liberal, socialist news media,”“the ACLU,” and “the conspiracy of an immoral film industry.” To do this, it aims to recruit former military men.“AVIDD reminds all American Veterans that you took an oath to defend the United States against all enemies,‘both foreign and domestic,’” its Web site says.“In your military capacity, you were called upon to defend the United States against foreign enemies. AVIDD now calls upon you to continue to fulfill your oath and help us defend this nation on the political front, against equally dangerous domestic enemies.” |

Speaking to outsiders, most Christian nationalists say they’re simply responding to anti-Christian persecution. They say that secularism is itself a religion, one unfairly imposed on them. They say they’re the victims in the culture wars. But Christian nationalist ideologues don’t want equality, they want dominance. In his book “The Changing of the Guard: Biblical Principles for Political Action,” George Grant, former executive director of D. James Kennedy’s Coral Ridge Ministries, wrote: “Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy responsibility to reclaim the land for Jesus Christ — to have dominion in civil structures, just as in every other aspect of life and godliness. But it is dominion we are after. Not just a voice. It is dominion we are after. Not just influence. It is dominion we are after. Not just equal time. It is dominion we are after. World conquest. That’s what Christ has commissioned us to accomplish. We must win the world with the power of the Gospel. And we must never settle for anything less… Thus, Christian politics has as its primary intent the conquest of the land — of men, families, institutions, bureaucracies, courts, and governments for the Kingdom of Christ.” |

Yeah that's right. Not a single Country out of the nearly two hundred in the world represents you scenario. So once again you are simply choosing to go off topic to spout about your bigotry against Christians. |

My warnings are not about what has happened, rather about what many people want to happen.
I'm not trying to close the barn door after all is gone. Warnings are about what might come, and Theocracy might come from more than one direction. |

DOJ Suggests Criticism of Islam Could Be Criminalized
Refuses to rule out Shariah-style law in the United States Paul Joseph Watson Infowars.com Tuesday, July 31, 2012 In refusing to rule out a future law that would criminalize criticism of religion as racist hate speech, the Department of Justice has left the door open to the prospect of Shariah-style law in the United States that would forbid criticism of Islam. During a House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on the Constitution, Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz) questioned Assistant Attorney General Tom Perez on whether the Justice Department would ever consider banning free speech critical of religion. “Will you tell us here today simply that this Administration’s Department of Justice will never entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion?” asked Franks. Perez replied by asking for context before Franks repeated the question, adding,“That’s not a hard question.” Perez then tried to add the context of “when you make threats against someone,” but Franks stuck to his original question and repeated it for a third time. “Again sir, if you have a proposal that you are considering, we will actively review that proposal,” responded Perez. “OK, here’s my proposal. I’m asking you to answer a question, that’s my proposal. I’m proposing you answer this question,” said Franks, before repeating the question for a fourth time. Perez again refused to answer the question, asking for more context. When a member of the subcommittee offered to “rephrase” the question for Franks, he responded,“I’m asking my own questions, I’ll certainly allow you to ask yours.” “If the Department of Justice can’t even answer whether they will entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion, then it’s pretty late in the day,” concluded Franks. Perez’ evasive response clearly indicates that the Department of Justice under the Obama administration would consider a law that would override the First Amendment and classify criticism of religion as racist hate speech. The mere fact that Perez refused to rule it out is shocking. As the New American reports, in October 2011,“Perez and other officials from the Justice Department attended a meeting at George Washington University where a an Egyptian-American lawyer suggested criminalizing speech against Islam.” Muslim scholars argue that under the terms of the Koran, insulting the Prophet Muhammad is a sin punishable by execution. continued.......... http://www.infowars.com/doj-suggests-criticis... |

Judged: 1 By Janet Levy August 12, 2012 In the U.S. and in other Western countries, Christians and Jews freely and critically choose their brand of theology from a multitude of ecclesiastic offerings and determine their individual levels of religious observance or none at all. The exercise of faith and the observance of faith-related practices occur across a broad spectrum of individual behaviors based solely on personal choice. In Muslim countries, no separation exists between mosque and state. Islamic doctrine or sharia controls all aspects of a person's existence, from the correct way to use the toilet to permissible forms of lying, or taquiya. For Muslims, Mohammed is the perfect man, whose every example must be emulated, even though by Western Judeo-Christian standards he was a mass murderer, pedophile, rapist, torturer, and looter. Furthermore, Islamic doctrine is immutable, and any criticism of the traditions and practices of Mohammed is considered apostasy, which is punishable by death. No free individual will exists or is allowed when it comes to practices and observances. Sharia must be strictly followed. A mosque is a symbol of this ultimate authority and serves the function of organizing every aspect of life in a Muslim community. continued.......... http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/08/a_mosq... |

CHINO - In a response to a hateful act, Interfaith Witnesses came together Monday night to show support for the Muslim community after pig parts were thrown on the driveway of a mosque.
"I was ignorant to the Muslim belief at one time," said the Reverend Jan Chase of the Unity Church of Pomona. "I finally allowed myself to learn about the religion and the people associated with that religion." Chase added that the worshippers in the Muslim community are the same as in every other faith. "They hold the same essential beliefs that we all do," she said. "I find the evilness and hatred associated with last week's desecration disgusting and hurtful." Chase was speaking about the incident where someone was seen throwing pigs legs on the mosque grounds. The incident happened two days following the slaughter at the Sikh temple in Wisconsin. "We are scared and for good reason," said Faisal Qazi, a board member of the mosque. "There have been many attacks on our religion many times in the last few weeks." Qazi was speaking about the mosque that burned to the ground in Joplin, Mo. on Aug. 6. It was the second fire to spark there within a month. "This is enlightening to see all these faiths coming together for us," said Rachid Achmed, Al-Nur Islamic Center chairman. "This hatred has prompted a community outcry, and it's working." Some neighbors don't have any issues with the Muslim community wanting to build a mosque in their backyard. "They are the kindest people," said Martial Leonard. "I feel religion is one of the freedoms I fought for in Vietnam, and they have a right just like I do to pray to whomever they want to." The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is investigating last week's incident. "We have an ongoing investigation into this incident," sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Anthony Vega said. "We are not looking into this as a hate crime for the moment, but as an act of vandalism at a place of worship." The Muslim civil rights group Council on American-Islamic Relations in a letter sent to the U.S. Department of Justice on Thursday urged the government to open a hate-crime investigation. "Only firm action by local, state and federal law enforcement authorities will send the message that bias-motivated attacks on Muslims, or Americans of any faith, will not be tolerated," CAIR-LA Executive Director Hussam Ayloush said. At present, the mosque is a house on the site. Plans for full-sized mosque are still in the approval process. Some nearby residents have expressed opposition. "It makes me proud to see several faiths supporting us in this day and age," Qazi said. "Abraham taught us that life was about building, we together as one can become the to build faith and trust in all." http://www.dailybulletin.com/ci_21306133/inte... |

Let us ask ourselves, why do we need a mosque to begin with? After all, a Muslim can pray at home and his home is his mosque where he can live a comfortable Islamic life with himself and his family. However, we must remember that Islam is a religion to be practiced collectively therefore, all good things if they are done together has more of a reward than the same things done alone. Never in the Quran does Allah address Muslims as believer but, always as believers.
Thus we are supposed to pray collectively in a congregation and participate in other acts of worship like fasting and hajj together. Therefore, we do need a mosque for collective prayer. Many of the well established mosques in the country started with either a rented house, apartment, or basement of a house or even a garage. By growth of the community and their motivation, there are full fledged mosques. But is the mosque only for prayers? No. The mosque is the center for all Islamic activity as it used to be in the mosques of the Prophet in Medina. In these mosques, not only prayers took place, but it was a school of knowledge where companions used to study the Quran and ask questions. It was a place for the Government to receive delegations from foreign countries. It was a treasury from which charity work was done and it was a war-room where decisions and planning for wars imposed on Muslims were made. In fact, the mosque extended to the care of the needy and orphans, and the sick as well as a place for giving D'awa to non Muslims. Thus we need our mosques not only to be a place of prayer but, a place for seeking Islamic Knowledge for Muslims and non Muslims, and there should be formal classes for newly converted Muslims to ease them into Islam. It should be a place where our children can receive an Islamic education combating the secular education of their public schools. It should be a place where community social functions can take place with Islamic guidelines whether it is an Iftar party, eid party, marriage, or aqeeqa ceremony that takes place. It should be a place where Muslim men can socialize with other Muslim men and women with women, young boys with young boys, and girls with girls. Not necessarily in the prayer area but, in other areas of the mosque. Muslims should have in their mosque a reference library where they can go and study Islam. From the mosque, there should be collection and distribution of all Sadaqa and Zakat. In addition to Sunday School and full time Islamic school, there should be day time and evening coaching classes for students in high school and knowledgeable teachers and professionals in the community should coach our students so that they can do a better job with their grades and provide some career counseling. Within each community, there are many Muslim physicians, male and female thus, I propose that in each mosque there should incorporate a free medical clinic which can meet after Friday Prayer or after Sunday school. Where Muslims without insurance or those who are in need of emergency help can receive treatment. If our resources increase, we can open these clinics even to non-Muslims and that would be the best form of D'awa. Another role of the free health clinic, is to provide education to Muslim men and women about health care, preventive aspects, and emergency care like first aid. Screening for diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol can also be done in this clinic on a regular basis. http://www.islam-usa.com/index.php... |

Persecution and Prayer Alert, Voice of the Martyrs
Christian teen sentenced to two years in Tanzanian prison - News on the Net Thursday, August 16, 2012 A teenager in Tanzania was recently sentenced to two years in prison after being accused of desecrating the Qur’an. Eva Abdullah, 17, converted to Christianity from Islam three years ago. Her parents disowned her after her conversion and a group of radicals in her hometown of Bagamoyo tried to persuade her to renounce her Christian faith. When she refused, they falsely accused her of desecrating a Qur’an. Many Christian leaders were afraid to defend Eva because of Muslim dominance in the district. On July 26, Eva was sentenced to two years in prison by a judge who was allegedly bribed by the Islamic militants. continued.......... http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/arti... |

ARAB SPRING RUN AMOK:'BROTHERHOOD' STARTS CRUCIFIXIONS
Opponents of Egypt's Muslim president executed 'naked on trees' Published: 16 hours ago by MICHAEL CARL The Arab Spring takeover of Egypt by the Muslim Brotherhood has run amok, with reports from several different media agencies that the radical Muslims have begun crucifying opponents of newly installed President Mohammed Morsi. Middle East media confirm that during a recent rampage, Muslim Brotherhood operatives “crucified those opposing Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi naked on trees in front of the presidential palace while abusing others.” Raymond Ibrahim, a fellow with the Middle East Forum and the Investigative Project on Terrorism, said the crucifixions are the product of who the Middle Eastern media call “partisans.” “Arabic media call them ‘supporters,’‘followers’ and ‘partisans’ of the Muslim Brotherhood,” Ibraham said. Ibrahim also says the victims can be anyone, including Egyptian Christians. “It’s anyone who is resisting the new government,” Ibrahim said.“In this particular case, the people attacked and crucified were secular protesters upset because of Morsi’s hostile campaign against the media, especially of Tawfik Okasha, who was constantly exposing him on his station, until Morsi shut him down.” Ibrahim said extra brutality is reserved for Christians, but the crucifixions are because of Islamic doctrine and are required by the Quran. The time and other details about the crucifixions were not readily available. “Mideast Beast: The Scriptural Case for an Islamic Antichrist” sorts out what this clash of civilizations is all about Center for Security Policy Senior Fellow Clare Lopez cited chapter and verse from the Quran to explain that crucifixions are not simply normal for Islam, they’re demanded. “Crucifixion is a hadd punishment, stipulated in the Quran, Sura 5:33, and therefore an obligatory part of Shariah,” Lopez said.“It’s been a traditional punishment within Islam since the beginning, even though it’s not exclusively Islamic. The Romans used it too. “So, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood haven’t the option to not include crucifixion within their legal code. It’s obligatory to comply with Shariah. And yes, it’s for shock value also to be sure,” Lopez said. Lopez includes a warning for Egypt’s Christians and compares the coming treatment of the Christians to the Jews in Germany. “The Copts must get out of Egypt as soon as possible – for the many millions who will not be able to get out, I expect things will continue to deteriorate – just as they did for Germany’s and Europe’s Jews from the 1930s onward,” Lopez said. continued.......... http://www.wnd.com/2012/08/arab-spring-run-am... |

The Mirage of Moderate Islam
- Daniel Greenfield Monday, August 20, 2012 Travelers across the vast stretches of the Arabian desert have been known to get lost and in their thirst and exhaustion hallucinate oases with palm trees and flowing water. Western policymakers lost in the vast stretches of madness that define the Muslim world are even more wont to hallucinate the oasis of a moderate Islam to take refuge in. Whether you’re dying for a drink or a way to reaffirm your reality, a mirage is sometimes the only way you can find it. Moderate Islam is a mirage, a projection by desperate Westerners of their own values and culture, on an entirely different religion and culture. It is a mirage that many Muslims are eager to uphold, in the same way that desert merchants might sell goblets and bowls of sand to passing travelers foolish enough to confuse water with dust. And like travelers who think they are drinking water, when they are actually swallowing sand, it is a deception that will eventually kill the deceived. continued.......... http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/arti... |

Muslim Debate Tricks
In the comments section, Yohannes posted ten rules of Muslim debate. Since we see these tricks being implemented again and again, they deserve special attention. WINNING DEBATES FOR DUMMIES: A Guide for Muslims to Win Debates with Ten Easy Tricks 1. Always keep your CAPS Lock on. This way your post will be difficult to read and no one will be able to answer. 2. Whenever someone comes up with a verse from the Quran that you are unable to defend, say that it is taken out of CONTEXT. 3. Whenever someone comes up with a Hadith that you are unable to answer, say that Hadiths are not reliable. 4. When someone comes to you with both the Quran and the Hadith, say that the Quran and the Hadith can only be understood in Arabic. 5. When someone comes to you with the Quran and the Hadith and also proves that he/she understands Arabic, say that these verses are for a specific time period and could not be applied today. 6. When you cannot answer any questions, say that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and soon the entire world will believe. 7. When someone comes up with proofs that Islam is not the fastest growing religion, say that these figures are biased and compiled by Christians. 8. Paste some YouTube videos about the Quran's scientific miracles. When someone proves that these videos are stupid, shout that they are biased. 9. Keep on pasting random verses from the Quran to divert attention. 10. Finally, when you are totally on the run, curse and threaten people with Hell fire and say that they are not worthy of Islam. http://www.answeringmuslims.com/2011/10/musli... |
