Fighting ObamaCare: A 4-Pronged Strategy for Congress & the States
By Grace-Marie Turner

Hard-to-Find List below of 111 companies granted waivers by HHS (so far).

Texas Insider Report: Washington, D.C.– The battle against ObamaCare is taking on four fronts: political, legislative, legal & regulatory. Legislators returned to Capitol Hill last week to start making plans for the next Congress, and the 80-plus freshmen have the fight against ObamaCare at the top of their lists.

Likewise, most of the 29 Republican governors meeting last week in San Diego are making plans to resist what many see as a federal take-over of their health sectors. With nearly 700 new Republican state legislators elected Nov. 2, these governors will have the wind at their backs.

For example, The New York Times reports Wisconsin Gov.-elect Scott Walker said he wants the state to freeze all efforts to put the law into effect until he takes office in January. He plans to join the Florida lawsuit against the health overhaul law and says he will do as little as possible to comply, but just enough to keep federal officials out.
As many as seven or eight more states could join the 20 in the suit.

Assuming the lawsuit will take time, the next step will be “looking at not only slowing down [the federal law but] offering a viable alternative to what the current administration has been aggressively doing,” he says.
(Prediction: If states have not made sufficient “progress” in getting exchanges set up by January of 2013, the feds will move in.)

Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota has prohibited state officials from requesting any federal funds or taking any actions to implement the law without clearing it with him first.

Expect states to demand more authority to escape federal mandates and instead receive block grants to administer Medicaid and other programs, as Rhode Island already is successfully doing.

A four-prong strategy:

The States Can Stop Obama

Sheriff Richard Mack
Infowars
October 14, 2009
By now we have all heard the cliches and seen the posters from the “Tea Parties” espousing freedom, less government, and perhaps most of all, how the federal government had better back off trying to shove their national healthcare down our otherwise healthy throats. The truth of the matter is all the slogans of “Don’t Tread On Me” or “Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death” or “We’re Mad As Hell And We’re Not Taking It Anymore,” don’t mean a thing when compared to reality; the real and actual answer to all the protests, marches, and outrage.

The answer is in our own backyards! The States can stop every bit of it!

That’s right, the individual States can stop “Obamacare” and all other forms of out-of-control federal government mandates and “big brother” tactics. If Arizona, Hawaii, New Hamshire, Texas, etc. want nothing to do with National Healthcare as proposed by Barack Obama or Congress, then all they have to do is say “No!”

Congress Will Probe Special Exemptions to Health-Care Law That Obama Administration Gave Select Unions and Businesses, Says Republican Senator

Thursday, January 27, 2011
By Fred Lucas

Washington ( CNSNews.com )– The Obama administration’s waivers to temporarily exempt certain companies, unions, and charities from rules established by the new health care law are a “perfect example of special interests” having influence in the administration and will be looked into by Congress, Sen. Charles Grassley, the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee told CNSNews.com .
"You’re going to find out that by the president doing that with the secretary of HHS, he violated one of his main principles when he ran for office--and that was that special interests were not going to have an in in his administration,” said Grassley.“And this is a perfect example of special interests having an in in his administration when they get those waivers.”

Grassley, who has a history of leading Senate investigations into government waste, fraud, and abuse, said oversight of the special waivers will be taken up by the Republican-controlled House.

Pelosi Defends Obamacare Waivers To 1,800 Firms: "They're Small Companies"

"They're small. I couldn't speak to all 1,800 of them, but some of the lists that I have seen have been very, very small companies. They will not have a big impact on the economy of our country," Nancy Pelosi said in an interview with CNBC.

McDonalds, one of the nation's largest employers in recent years, has received a waiver.

But,but, but, according to the commie twins (Rebel Schmuck - Sooo Defensive) isn't everyone supposed to get Obamacare and a box of doughnuts with the little sprinkles on top?

What about little Jack and the family who will get bankrupted if they work at Mickey D?

I guess they will just have to make way for the International Border jumpers and the Muslims.

*How very sweet of Obama to offer tokens to a specific religion, the mohammedans.*

If you are Muslim you can opt out of the Obamacare health care reform laws with no penalties

Thursday, August 15, 2013 22:08

Gil GuignatPhoenix Small Business Management Examiner

Isn’t this nice. If you are of the Muslim religion, you don’t have to give all the new Obamacare healthcare reform regulations and penalties another thought. Because the concept of being compelled to participate in such a healthcare program offends Islamic sensibilities, Muslims are specifically exempt.

It's people like you that are allowing corruption to flourish.

IMO, you don't have the right to be called American.
