17 cold cases is too many IMO. I keep posting the names but yet no one seems to do anything (not just LE either). How sad. I do my part by keeping these vicitms names posted as well as searching in the woods.
If anyone has any information at all, please notify the LE. Please DO something to help solve these cases.

I have been out on a few searches. Every family needs closure so, the more people that go out to search for them the better.

Below is the thread regarding the body found at the reservoir.

Also, interesting to note: the Cattaraugus County Sheriff killed himself within a few weeks of when the young woman's body was found and wihtin 7 miles or so.
No ID of this unfortunate young woman has been made public (if at all). The body had newly fractured bones and some healing fractures.

Didn't they say the body could have been there for as long as five years? Scary--It is awful that we have all these missing people but what I will never understand is how a body could go unidentified.

I remember hearing that time frame. I agree; with all the new technology, how in the heck can remains stay unidentified.

Without a doubt; I'm sure that the family members of these poor missing folks deeply appreciate your efforts.

What I don't understand is--if someone was missing from my family I would be all over it, as would most. How in this day and age can a body go unidentified?

How does it work? If a body is discovered is there a database law enforcement can check to see if there is a possible missing person that matches the description? Or vice versa? Do families of missing people get notified if a body is located? I know not all bodies found are from the area, so I guess my question is--if someone is found in NY, and it matches a description of a missing person in California, is the family notified of a possible match?

If you could'nt solve the cases before you retired, what makes you think your going to do it now! unless, your Retired NYC. Dective, FBI. or your no longer under the thumb of the local agency you worked for. BTW. why don't you ever hear of the FBI. getting involved in these cases Hmmm. Remember also, one of the national search agencies from down south said yep were going to find anderson "fer" sure !. untill they figured out how cold it is up here and we havn't seen them since!!
