I drove by there tonight. Not one junker car, or even slightly in need of work car in the packed lot. This is the first clue on how true the Church is. As far as the tithing goes, I sure hope you people are not fooled. I guess that those of you who are, have the right to believe what you like. Maybe you should pray on your own about it. If not, I pity you, though I can't pass any judgement, because no one has the answers unless they can actually speak to GOD.
You went by their Mayville church on Wednesday night?

You can have a bunch of people who go to a church and still not get anything out of it. And you can also have a church with hundreds in attendance that do absolutely do nothing for their communities. There are those who promise healing, I wonder how many if those places have medical licenses..?

But no thanks, I've never believed in religious beliefs. If I truly wanted to be entertained I'd watch TV. For live events I'll go se the Steve Johnson Band or a wrestling event.

I think you are mistaken Hal. The Family Church I am talking about is on Howard Or Garfield RD. They run in together so I am not sure. Not Mayville. Who know's about Adam and Eve, but I do know that someday we will all have that desired tan we try for!! Whites will be the minority by 2030.

Like opinions and family problems we have them all. NMoJ you just don't "get it". Anyone who doesn't agree with your agenda you cast as a loser or pond scum. No one is harassing anyone, but when have you ever known a payday to fall on a Saturday or Sunday, unless you're a day laborer at Labor Ready or something. And Common Sense they were talking about the Family Church that was started up in Mayville a few months back. If I have read the seemingly negative thoughts on hereis how little community involvement this church has over other ones in the area, have you paid any attention to this? I think some people like their religions sugar coated. Why do people like seeing violence strewn movies over G or PG movies? You should actually look and pay attention to what's being said before you end up looking stupid

Awww..I can't shutter to think that some would think such a thing about this church, they're so good. They've helped me in so many ways. They're amongst the greatest churches in the world!! I am so excited about moving into the new building...can't wait. Kudos!

Ya know now I am glad I don't go there any more. In Mr Stahlmans latest Babble fest in the PJ recently he says that all the negative things that are going on in the world are not of God. Seems to me whenever something bad does happen poor Satan gets dealt a blow. Let's see...who created Satan? Who let him run the Earth before and even after Adam and Eve? Who ultimately has the power to destroy Satan? I wonder why he hasn't yet.

This is one church I'd love to see put out of business. They're not a true bible teaching church, instead they're spending $2.3 million building a new building for one site. Why not have two different locations in Jamestown? There's a lot of phonies in this church, pastoral people included. They have only one so called ministry: Youth. The church I go to has something for everyone, not just youth. They have no outreach for the poor (The book of Acts comes to mind). Go figure.

Blackout I've been saying this for years now, they could get involved with some kind of community service, like raking leaves. I believe you meant Family Church has no outreach for the poor...and they don't. Tim's recent ravings about the people they've supposedly saved are phony, just a not so clever marketing scheme. Where's your medical license??

Reading all this my heart is absolutely broken.

Guys listen. I have tattoos..I have piercing...I've sinned...I've lusted...done it all as everyone. You guys are bring lied to in Zietgiest...lied to by the Lord od Darkness saying "church judges to damnation". You are right...unfortunately some churches with older congrigations DO say " ur going to Hell with that tattoo boy"...this is not Jesus speaking. I'm sorry you rejected him because of man made "church". Church means.m.well what we are doing. Talking about God...Jesus...faith. NOT a building folks.

I understand what ur going through...but where did Jesus say "I'm here to judge u..."? He too a massive beating...flesh ripped FROM his SINLESS body...so we may live and NOT be in Damnation...

"The church" depends on individuality, if you like going to a place that picks and chooses their beliefs like Family Church does, then so be it. I've noticed Mr Stahlman's been patting himself on the back lately in the paper, but has he informed you all of some of their more tragic cases? How he told an estranged spouse that they were in the wrong for moving out, that they should have stayed to work on the relationship and forgive the person for all the years of abuse they endured? Of course not. Two weeks after the person moved back in they were found in their home, beaten nearly to death. And where was this church when they were in the hospital recovering? Not where they were suppose to be. I was told a few years ago that they didn't believe in having deacons/deaconesses. How very biblical.

Broken hearted you've just committed the cardinal sin. The purpose in believing in the bible is to put away your sins, obviously something FC doesn't teach. The purpose is to make some kind of meaning of your life and better serve others, and preaching to them isn't going to cut it.

i went to the Family Church for a few weeks and i loved it. They had a temporary church in my hometown of Mayville and I felt as if it was the first church that I had really connected with. The pastor was amazing and had so much enthusiasm that it was contagious. As for asking for money, it's in the Bible to tithe, it's not the church asking for your money. Every single time I went the pastor would remind us of that but would also tell us that we were not required to give anything if we didn't feel like we could. I never felt under any sort of financial or political pressure from them, and I'm looking forward to moving to Fredonia next year so that I can go to the Family Church in Fredonia.

Do you really need reminders to give money at church? The people I know who still go there tell me they were asking for weekly contributions of over $50 for their new building. Good for you lost, I hope you feel comfy in a church that grosses over $2 million per year, and does little to benefit its communities.

I honestly can't believe that all of you sit and talk like God's not in here. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for passing judgement on others. If you like Family Church South, you should attend there. If you don't like it, you should not attend there. However, you should belong to a good bible teaching church somewhere. We are all called to a different church for a reason. Only God, at this time knows why. May God bless each of you and comfort your ill feelings toward one another. Read and study the word in Malachi 3:10. It may bring a wee bit of light about the money issue. God bless you.

Gods child maybe God is speaking through some of these people..warning them through personal experiences that may be they aren't all they're cracked up to be. And God's child you're missing the whole thing about the money issue. People know its a biblical thing to tithe, just like it is to serve, but you know what? How many Christians are willing to give up their livelihoods to serve like Christ? How many people do you know are willing to sell everything they have to help the poor and widowed? Money isn't essential for every church function and don't forget it was penned by who else...MAN.

So, am I to understand the "Family Church is becoming a chain in this area? Like fast food?? Mayville. Jmst., Dunkirk? What is that about? Someone please do explain why several Churches have the same name. Let's start from the beginning.

It saddens me so that so many people believe that man penned the bible. It is direct from God and we must have faith and believe. As difficult as it is/would be, I would walk with the Lord and give up everything else. Biblically speaking, it's what we were meant to do. I love the Lord with all my heart and try fervently to follow. God knew many would turn from tithing, but know this, He loves you still.

Wondering the one in Mayville shut down...for now anyways, because of some "moral obligation" of the pastor who was running it. God's child, how do you know it was sent down "directly from God"? Can you prove it? How do you know things weren't added to it by man? Why wasn't the book ever completely ever written, as there were books by Philip and other disciples? I have nothing against the two fellas who were running the one in Mayville/Fredonia, I do take offense to the way the one here in Jamestown is run. I don't think it is very biblical at all.

Amazing how many people still believe in things that don't exist. For thousands of years humans, being the gullible ones we are, have played with the super natural fantasy since we had our first real brain fart. Since then stories were passed around from time to time about gods and goddesses, and then as we evolved those gods and goddesses were eliminated from reality and became myth. What people don't realize is "Christianity" is a mere creation out of other religions, not our own. Religion today is a billion dollar a year business, and like other industries, it has its ups and downs, and organizations that do very well, some that do very poorly and some that go nowhere. I don't believe in any deity, it's all hogwash to me. A true spiritual parent that promotes family would truly have a wife as well, and if He truly loved his "children" he wouldn't create so many they'd eventually starve themselves. Why would an all knowing God create a life just to see it tossed in a garbage dumpster moments after its birth? You need to think about this.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Scorpio

If you're feeling brave enough, you should get out all your receipts`, and then tot up how much you've spent this month. Or don't you have the courage to do so? It will be far better to know the truth than to pretend that everything's all right. But don't let it spoil what promises to be a delightfully enjoyable and rather emotional day.
