Fifteen cows die when snow collapses barn roof

the sinclairville fire dept told the buffalo news they were there til 2am helping removing cows that were trapped they really left about two hours after they were there farm hands removed the rest of the stranded cows which took until 930 saterday night

it just shows how much bull sh-t are local fire dept has they always try to make them slefs look good it only takes the 15-20 min to even answer a call then they want the credit this aint the only time they have lied

I agree that it's not right that they lied, but is it really the fire deptartment's job to remove the cows? I don't know...I'm just asking. I mean it's the neighborly thing to do, but is it their responsibility?

I think that some people are such assholes...when its someones lively hood and they sit there and make jokes and comments like they do..wait cause someday it may be you or your family in a situation like that or something bad..get a life and find something else to do..!!!

Really it is a volunteer fire dept. They are being paid. They have families. And if the farm hand had it taken care of why should they stay?? And I agree its the neighborly thing to do but if someone else had it taken care of why would it be the fire depts responsibility to take care of it?? And maybe they were there till am and they never said they got all of the cows out. I watch the news where is my cookie??

Those of you who think you know everything are really annoying to those of us who do. And you are such an insensitive asshole only because it wasn't YOUR barn, and it wasn't YOUR animals that were killed. True or not true-is it animal cruelty on the part of the fire department to leave our animals to suffer? They are public servants, it IS their job, that's why they respond when they are called. They left because it was more important for the fire coordinator to go hunting and kill more defenseless animals, rather than to stay here and save ours. And just because you watch the news, it does not entitle you to a cookie. If you would like some cow shit, however, we would be happy to oblige you!

Well, I'm sorry if my being honest offends you....which obviously it did. We had a disaster here-I never said I wasn't thankful for what they DID do while they were here. We are only dairy farmers trying to make it-I wonder what would happen if all of the farmers in this area decided to quit producing so people like you could pay $10 for a gallon of milk or $10 for a pound of hamburger.
