Coast to Coast Food distributors

Anyone know anything about them? We were visited by the sme drunk...I mean guy twice within a few days, and he forgot he was even here the first time around. No website, no 800 number to complain.

I also have had them knocking at my door. The guy was wreaking of alcohol and sweat. They drive around in a beat up pick up truck with a big chest freezer strapped into the back with bungee cords. He asked me if we were "looking to buy some meat" I am told that they are buying meats from Aldi and other discount stores removing the labels and selling them for profit!?!?!?! Don't waste your time on these guys!!

There was a company that came around earlier this summer that is out of Buffalo, that distributes to places like Ruby Tuesdays and TGIF's etc that is trying to move their business into our area, they had a company freezer truck pamphlets a website 800#s and were very professional. They warned me of these other guys and said to beware of them. We purchased a package from him and were very pleased, the meat lasted us nearly 3 months and was delicious. Sorry don't remember the name. If they come around though you will know the difference!

They came to my house too..the ones with the freezer strapped. I told them not interested as I am a vegetarian..but still didn't give up for a while. Then when he left and I looked out & saw that truck... I coudn't beleive it. Someone needs to stop them. Looks pretty shady and not safe.

The info I can get, which is pretty lame-o is nill. No info on their boxes, no brochures like Schwan's does. I did get a number for them, and a website that takes me into...Ta daa...www.coasttocoastam.com, which is the show that use to have Art Bell as host. Do these people have to have some kind of permit/license to be operating, and aren't they bound by the same laws creditors and telemarketers are bound by: they're only allowed to solicit between 8AM and 9 PM?

Update: they take food stamps now, and making a killing. I know of two people who gave him their benefit card on the account that he'd divide the cost of the food. He ended up charging them the full amount of the food, and came out ahead. The food they sell is OK, but I think they're frauds and will never buy from them again.

I would stay away from them. 5 people I know including myself bought from them and we feel like idiots!!
I only bought beef and it was AWFUL!
Looks nice in the wrapping, but the texture and flavor are weird.
All it was good for was soup.

The one man wreaking of alcohol took advantage of the poor old lady that lives out back. They told her that the price was going to be 170.00 but bc she is blind, they put down 200. and something. Took all her food stamps. Then my room mate bought from the same people with her food stamps. They took the amount for the food stamp portion and then on top of that they took out of her cash assistance that she gets to pay for her kids diapers, wipes and rent. Almost put her out of a home for herself and her kids but luckly she lives with me and I can hold of on her portion of the rent for a month.

I buy from them all the time. Good service, good prices, great products!
Highly recommend!

I would never buy meat from a truck that came to my house...who knows what kind of meat it is they are selling.

Someone who lost their veg-inity!

Does anyone know if this meat is USDA inspected? To be on the safe side, if they come to my door I will stall them and call the police. At least that way, if they are not operating within the law they can be dealt with accordingly.

I bought the meat, 179 for a case ? i wouldnt give them a nickel,it sucked, its low grade and full of tenderizer.. tasted horrible. Take it for what its worth: DO NOT BUY FROM COAST TO COAST OUT OF JAMESTOWN NY, WITH INDIANA PLATES.. thank you.

Let's just say there employee screening process has alot to be desired. And when someone Tryn to sell me meat has wandering eyes. I tend to pick that up.
