Well from what I heard Tony filed bankruptcy on it. The company that I work for did business with them all the time and that is what we heard. I don,t know however how true it really is.

Tony and or Matt did not own the building or property, only the restaurant itself. The owner of the building never paid his taxes and therefore it was foreclosed on.

If you don't know Subzone was owned by a person named Chris Yarber. He has operated and/or owned plenty of places that I know of in the past 20 years or so. Unfortunately when his name is on one of them they don't last long. He used to be a fracnchisee for Picasso's Pizza that was on Washington St. One day a friend of mine went in to work there and found the doors to be locked. It turns out that Yarber took of with all the money leaving the employees (which he owed them their wasges from the previous week), food suppliers, Picasso's Inc. to be SOL.

He then owned Pizza Treat which was located on the corner of 4th and Washington. He sub-leased it from another restaurant owner in the city and screwed him over also. The lease included the restaurant and plenty of equipment. By the time the scumbag was done there he screwed the landlord over. He didn't pay his last 3 months rent and he took restaurant equipment that wasn't even his to ACaplans in Erie and sold it to them.

The next time I heard of where this piece of trash was he was serving food at the Windsor Ale House. Yes the Windsor Ale House that was the place where if the patrons didn't steal your money the cockroaches would. Can't imagine ever getting a sealed bottled drink in there, let alone food. Soon after he went in there that place closed.

Then there was Subzone. I think enough has been said. Chris Yarber you are a loser and always will be. For anyone that doesn't believe me you can call any of the following food suppliers and see if they will do business with him ever again.
Sysco Foods, Maplevale Farms, MapleLeaf Foods, US Foodservice, CA Curtze Co., and Will Poultry. Although people say the food was good I think one thing could be said.. If Yarber had a brain he could have been successful.

As far as Aldo's closing....some of what was said is very true. But I have heard alot more of the reasons why it closed. ALOT of factors contributed to the demise of Aldo's, much beyond the incapability of Tony as a business owner. Too bad.

I also believe he stuck us taxpayers because he recieved a grant loan from the city. Which I'm sure he didn't pay back. A$$. Not you.........Yarber.

So if you know so much why don't you enlighten all us ignorant people so we don't have to be scums. Next time you talk to Tony, being the wonderful person that he is maybe he can send you some money for an education?

If Tony's wife won the lottery then why are they leaving up here with bills. The company that I work for had to do business with Aldo's. You know what they never liked to pay there bills. They where actually but on a C.O.D just so we could make sure that we get their money. Never seen millionaires that didnt like to pay a $200 bill. Maybe the only reason they left the area is because they ran out of people to use up here.
