Friday's Lunch

I woke up so excited today. Finally, I had something to look forward to other than Martin Luther King Day in 2010. I was going to eat lunch at an establishment on 2nd Street with a well known poster on this forum. I am sorry that I don't use names but it seems that I have hurt this persons inner feelings in the past.
Myself and a friend of mine arrived there at approximately 12:15 or so. For such a great place, i'd say very dead for a friday lunch. We placed our order and sat down at one of the 3 tables in the place as we waited. I kept waiting to see this poster on here so that I could introduce myself. I think that it would be a shame to wait all the way for the Topix Christmas party to do so. We sat there about 15 minutes and waited for our subs and still no topix poster. We finished our meal and I was very disappointed that this poster didn't show up with not even one of his faces to greet me. I mean all I have read was he was going to be here everyday for lunch and then not even to come on a day that I was there. At the conclusion of the meal we threw our stuff in the trash and was going to leave, I saw a shadow in the back of the place were the food is prepared and then a body. I wasn't sure at the time but I believe it was this poster I came to see. I was on my lunch break so I had to leave without knowing. I remember the sadness I felt walking out the door wondering if that was him or not. It was hard to believe that just 5 steps seemed like 500. However, there was a burst of wind that blew up a piece of cardboard as I was heading to my truck with writing on it. The first thing I did was ignore it, but then I felt I had better read it. It was a sign that read Will Work For Food... I knew then that the person inside was the poster indeed and so instead of being totally disappointed I was just half. Next time don't be such a stranger.

I was so moved, i wept.

Yeah i was there an i in fact got the text alerting me you where there... I seen ya two sitting at the table all shy and scared, Really no hard feelings fellas you could have introduced yourselves. I mean in fact while i was standing at the register and ironwhore was having a hard time getting his card to work he could have turned to me and introduced himself....maybe next week we can meet again, i mean Future you were in there thursday by yourself and never even said hi....

Dude don't get me involved. I wasn't there. Joey if I ever met ya I want an autograph. You are a celebrity now.

Im sure knowing Joey W. he didnt lose his voice..LOl Thats for sure he says anything to anyone thats the way he is.Im sure Joey W was at lunch to its not his style to not do what he says.

Well now i know why this sandees place is so popular, i went in for lunch recently and was really impressed with the service. Really good food as well, the sub i ordered tasted fresh, good portion of ham and cheese not skimpy a bit. Another good thing to come out of it waz the girl who was working there that day. I am new to the area and I don't know many people, she gave me her number and hopefully we can get together soon. I will definitely be returning and eating there real soon i hope the other workers are as friendly and hot as her. Anybody else know any other places to eat in town that are good? May be a dumb question, but where is a ponderosa it says there is one near town?
