News Flash, kiddies. When you DONT visit, they are all just like WILLOWBROOK. This is an elderly patients worst nighytmare. Dont care what the name of the facility is or where it is located. these are YOUR parents, NOT theirs. They are only there for a PAYCHECK. Animal in shelters are treated better. My mother had lung cancer. From day one to the end we were together. AT HOME. I would do it all over again, too. I knew my parents diserved BETTER. Alzheimer facilities are run a little better but if you plan to go into a senior care facility, tell them to use their remaining income and retire on board a cruise ship.

I fail to understand how these systems can be short handed. Why is a nursing degree needed to care for these "PAID" well deserved senior or young citizens . I agree that these nuring homes is only there for a "paycheck". I'm thankful that both of my parents died at home. They were both bed ridden and encountered "NO" bedsores. I feel your pain. My husband died in the care of a hospital. Autopsy showed he had "severe bedsores". With me as his bedside wife, I was refused a better bed, they continous lied, I cleaned him all day and came back the next day with him soaked and they never change him. I'm disgusted. These home care system needs another name, like "Let Us Make Your Last Days Miserable", for nobody will beable to prove, to sue us. The torture will never leave us. God Bless

It appears that it is common for nursing homes to neglect patients...When they tell you that your parent is not eating...that's your first warning sign..I visted my father in a nursing home...and noticed that no one was coming in to feed him or check for anything......nursing homes are death traps...don't place anyone you love there...unless you can come in EVERYDAY..
