Good job Pomona PD. Another few people off the street that would have killed or injured innocent families.
Keep it up. I'm sure it has to be near impossible doing your job with zero support from city council and city leaders. Keep your heads up. You are making a difference, even though you may not know it, and I know the city leaders don't tell you because they give zero recognition to anyone that does good work in that city. |

Guess Carrizosa won't be complaining since it wasn't close to her area. Good job Pomona P.D..Keep it up.

How many crimes were commited in the city while critical manpower was used for this checkpoint? Consistant police patrol in all area's of Pomona is needed, not check points.
Lazy Police management! |

That's what people like you don't understand. You have a closed mind like that troll Carrizosa.
If they didn't do checkpoints, the cops wouldn't be on duty or anywhere near the city. It's grant funded and it's for checkpoints only. If you don't do the checkpoints, you don't get the money. It's simple. So having them there for checkpoints, allows them to respond to emergency calls also if needed. So it's a plus for everyone involved. Look at the State of California and all the city governments. There is no money. This is very valuable money Pomona is using to make a difference. If you were really an advocate, you would educate yourself on all aspects of Pomona, not just the minority Carrizosa section and her 5 followers that are just about brain dead.

Get your facts straight "P town advocate". All the checkpoints officers (and civilians such as parking enforecment and dispatchers) came in on their days off to work. It did not affect manpower in the city, but actually INCREASED manpower in the city since there were also roving patrol units from the checkpoint that went ALL OVER the city. And no, the city nor the department paid for it, the funding came from a GRANT from the STATE.
