We're originally from GA and had a hard time adjusting to Florida BBQ, specifically what is considered "brunswick stew" here. Definitely not the same in GA. If you're ever passing through Newnan, GA stop in Sprayberry's. Grew up close to that area & always look forward to eating there when visiting family back home. Excellent BBQ! Family owned and operated forever, and hasn't changed since I was a kid. Great country atmosphere! Thanks for the info Dawg. I was just looking at the map, and I wouldn't mind jumping off I20 and going around ATL especially for some great BBQ. Place sounds right up my alley.

Had an awful experience at Bono's recently. The chicken was charred on the outside and the baked beans were salty. The 3 meat combo ($11.99) resembled a child's plate.

Their sauce is vinegar based and delicious. People from up north stop there and buy all their sauce to take home. They also press the sandwiches. Ain't nuthin fancy, an old log cabin with picnic tables. rip tc! been two years!

Funny, I just remembered that I actually started this BBQ thread plus a few other restaurant threads using the name of "question". I didn't want everyone to tease me and say I was always thinking about food. LOL

Well, reading about all this BBQ has made me hungry. Think I'll avoid Bono's and go to Sonny's on Lane when they open.
Have a great Friday!
