I made the same mistake only I was the one consuming it. I had a couple at lunch and when I got back to work was soooo easy to get along with the afternoon....I wasn't aware of the alcoholic content until I almost lost a job. Then I started seeing the ads on TV...until then I was clueless.

The manufacturers who put this and other alcoholic drinks in containers so similar to non-alcoholic drinks should be penalized. They are doing it on purpose. I just saw a new article about teens and "energy drinks" with alcohol in cans that look exactly like ones that are not alcoholic.

Would be interested in seeing if the signage at the ball park was adequate as far as describing the drink, given this is a place where such a mistake could be made quite easily. I'd bet this sort of thing has happened to a lot of unsuspecting parents, but never got noticed.

As for the CPS, what a joke of a protective service. I'd hazzard a guess and say the kid was far more traumatized by the CPS than the alcohol.

I agree the marketing of such products are a concern, but I can remember a time several years ago on vacation w/my parents. My mom, unsure of what to drink, actually asked the waiter,"what was that Miller lite drink"? I said mom...it's beer!
Anyway the main point is I SEE children daily who live in conditions that no one should be raised in, even with social services involved, there seems to be zero hope for the kids....how can this lemonade compare to all the meth-head parents??

If a kid walks into a tavern and bellies up to the bar, we can see the potential for a problme, but at a ballpark, they don't seem to have enough common sense to label alcohol as alcohol, yet jump your butt when a situation such as what happened occurs. If the ballpark staff is so aware of this potential problem, then how can they not make things safer?

Come on I'm not buying the fact that the dad didn't know it was alcohol. He bought it for himself he gave the kid a sip life many parents do, and he got busted. If this was 2000 or when ever it was Mikes Hard Lemonade came out I'd buy it. Mikes has been out there a long time. Besides what idiot would pay $7 for a non alcoholic drink.

He is a Professor which requires higher level degrees. I would just think that someone with a higher education would be able to tell the difference between lemonade and mike's hard lemonade.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Aries

The prospect of travel really appeals to you today, especially if you don't have any holidays booked for the foreseeable future. So be careful if you're out shopping and you happen to walk past a travel agent's, because almost before you know it you could be sitting in there waving your credit card around and consulting your diary for the best day to take off for the wide blue yonder.
