I think it is more that they are calling this a prophesy, when really it was an conclusion to his analysis of economy. A prophesy denotes divine intervention or deeply spiritual communication. His paper was a logical conclusion to the economic trends. If you look at what he wrote in another light, you would see that it could be taken as being a propenent of communism, where prices are controlled. The question is by whom?
Personally, I was raised as a Catholic, but am over the Church's stance on abortion, gay rights, stem cell research, among others. I still have five generations of catholic paraphenalia, which no one else in the family cared about, and I love the ceremony of it all, but absolutely refuse to take them seriously.
