My heart goes out to the family. My son returned home just 2 weeks ago to his family in Seattle after his second tour in Iraq. My only other son fought in the first Iraq war and is now a 20 year retired veteran. I can hardly stand this any more it is very hard on everyone left home as well. I appreciate every one in the Military for what they give for us. It did say non-combat injuries which could mean he had seen enough as well

lyrics to a beautiful song about fallen soldiers.

"Prayer To St. Peter"

Let them in, Peter
For they are very tired
Give them couches where the angels sleep
And light those fires
Let them wake whole again
To brand new dawns
Fired by the sun
Not war-times bloody guns
May their peace be deep
Remember where the broken bodies lie
God knows how young they were
To have to die

You know God knows how young they were
To have to die

Give them things they like
Let them make some noise
Give dance hall bands not golden harps
To these our boys
Let them love Peter
For they've had no time
They should have bird songs and trees
And hills to climb
The taste of summer
And a ripened pear
And girls as sweet as meadow wind
And flowing hair
And tell them how they are missed
But say not to fear
It's gonna be all right
With us down here

Let them in, Peter
For they are very tired
Give them couches where the angels sleep
And light those fires
Let them wake whole again
To brand new dawns
Fired by the sun
Not war-times bloody guns
May their peace be deep
Remember where the broken bodies lie
God knows how young they were
To have to die

You know God knows how young they were
To have to die

And tell them how they are missed
But say not to fear
It's gonna be all right
With us down here

It's gonna be all right
With us down here

That was beautiful, Scott!!

I don't have anything to add but my sincere condolences to the family. My heart aches for all of you and time does heal all wounds, but it is hard. May GOD bless you all and wrap HIS very strong and capable arms around you and comfort you. Look to GOD and give HIM your broken heart.

GOD bless you!!

Have you read the code of conduct? It begins with "I am an American fighting man, I am prepared to give my life."
Our government can't control the violence in the homes and streets of America. What makes them think they can control what is going on in Iraq and Afghanistan? Why are we the American taxpayer paying for this folly and the Iraqis get oil money and the Afghans sell opium. Why aren't we destroying the opium fields? Who is incharge here?
Bush? Cheney? Petraus?

We are the most powerful country on earth and it has taken 5 years to gain a stalemte. Blow the place up we are rebuilding the place anyway and bring our men and women home where they belong. God bless this mans family and appreciate the sacrifice his family has made for our country.

My heart felt prayers go out to his entire family, his friends and especially his wife. May God give you the strength to get through this very difficult time.

I am forever greatful to ALL of our men and women who protect the very freedom I take for granted every day of my life.

I fully beleive we had to go to war. I don't regret the fact that the majority of congress voted for it. What I do regret is the way the Bush admistration handled it from the very begining. The inteligence our senators received was false and totally incomplete. Stop blaming people (Clinton) for voting to go to war. This should have been much easier than what it was. Get Sadaam out of power and force the Iraqi's to reform their own government. But instead, the Bush admin. has chosen the much more difficult, the much longer road to put us in a downward spiral financially, morally and it's costing us over 4,000 lives of are armed forces. Clinton's plan that involves slowly removing troops and hold the Iraq government is the only responsible thing to do. McCain wants to continue this war. Obama wants to pull out immediately with no plan! Now, that country needs to be held accountable for their own goverment, their own security and their own welfare. We have done more than what we should have to help them.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Taurus

Try hard not to let money or possessions come between you and a friend today, unless it's over something that has got to be sorted out before it goes any further. For instance, if someone owes you money and has consistently failed to pay it back, this is a good day for mentioning it to them and finding out what's going on. If necessary, you may have to be quite vehement.
