poor little boy, glad that he seems to be doing ok, in the report it is stated that "and if they even know where their bullets ended up" Mr Jefferson of JSO, heres a news flash for you, I would bet they dont give a sh**it either..........really are you that silly as a police man that you dont think before you speak.

I for one am grateful the young boy was NOT hurt any more than he was...should NOT have happened but at least he is alive and will recover.

Another terrorist attack. How to treat those thugs? A citizens duty -- shoot on sight.

I agree with Scott1...a lot of these neighborhoods have a "code of silence" of their own and are afraid of retaliation I'm sure, HUGE HUGE problem there...That poor little boy, it just as easily could have been a report about how a little boy was shot dead by a stray bullet while getting ready for bed.

This makes me glad I moved out of Jax...what a crime ridden city it has become. Even where I used to live, in Mandarin, where is used to be the "posh" place to live, all kinds of things you hear about going down there.

Jax needs to have a ZERO tolerance for this...fire a gun during the commission of a crime, you are locked up and the key is thrown away, regardless if you happened to murder someone in the process or not. No one, two, three strikes your out...should be "one chance, only chance" rule.

I don't blame them in a way for saying nothing. The JSO can not protect them from these thugs.
They could call Crime Stoppers and remain anonymous. May God have mercy on all of us.

I live in Mandarin and my house a year ago was shot at in the middle of the night, I stillhave about 5 bullet holes in the front of my house, I dont know why we called the police, no body was hurt but did we ever hear back?? NO they took bullet shells out of my house and nothing...we now have a alarm system.. Talk about being scared, I know have a weapons permit. I cant believe they wont talk, I know they dont want to be the victims of a driveby but COME ON people, if they dont talk then these THUGS will keep hurting people. My thoughts to the family for a speedy recovery for that little boy..

This is one of the reasons I am seriously considering moving to St Augustine.

I moved to Jax 4 years ago and have watched the crime skyrocket.

It's rather depressing since I moved away from Philly PA where crime was at it's peak only yo move to a new Philly so to speak.

Hope that little boy is emotionally and mentally ok.

That "no snitch" policy continues to work in favor of thugs...the streets will remain a war zone.

Best wishes & a speedy recovery for the lil fella.

The sad truth is the no-snitch policy is enforced by the black community in these crime ridden neighborhoods to protect fellow black thugs, whom just happen to be their friends, neighbors, and family. They simply don't care and until they do, these types of incidents are going to continue to happen every day.

Best wishes to the little boy! I am glad it wasn't any worse than it was. People need to start speaking up and stop worrying about the repercussions ~ you are LIVING the repercussions of not speaking up every day!!!!
