A teaching moment

"We're going to continue to explore each and every avenue that I can think of that will lead to job creation and economic growth," he said while standing with Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and four construction workers wearing hard hats.

Mr. Obama I understand that you have not owned a business and have never been in the position to meet a payroll. Unless a community organizer has a payroll, not sure. However, here is Economics 101 beginner (guess this was not required at Harvard) Economic Growth must happen First, then and only then does job creation happen. This is not government where you can confiscate money from everyone else to pay for make work programs. Over 5,000 Construction projects are under way according to what Obama said in the story yet Unemployment is still going up. Why NO Economic Growth.

It is not hard core economics Mr. Obama, just look at history, when has the greatest Economic Growth happened, hint it was not after massive government spending and tax increases.

For some reason, there is some misconception that you must be a business owner to be President or to be successful. General George Patton never owned a business and he did a great job. Why do people find themselves so astray on simple issues? The wind around the axle and then off they go.

The only thing he can create is more disruption of the American system. As bad as it pains me to say this he is even more stupid than Jonsey... How can he create jobs when he has never had one himself... Oh wait I forgot he was a community instigator....

Patton was a President? Patton's job was waging war and he was great at it. Obama is a community organizer and he's great at that....not so much running a country or understanding economics.

Obama's big mistake is the people he appointed to fix the economy. Geithner is as clueless as Obama (who at least paid his taxes). Furthermore, you don't appoint someone as "auto czar" if they admittedly don't know anything about the auto industry.

Big, big naive mistakes Obama has made and he should be held accountable for his poor judgment. Hopefully this will happen in 2010 and 2012.

obama has absolutly no intenion of the country as a whole to recover. A prosper people are difficult to control.
The government has the people by the balls and thats just where he wants them.
He will tighten and loosen the grip at will just to keep the people thinking they still have any choices or freedom.

As long as the money people and the government are trading money around, he is satisfied with the economy.

I will agree with you on this point, that the President needs neither business experience nor even military experience to be a successful. Heck Jimmy Carter had Military experience and look, what he did to the military.

However, the Obama administration seems to have a misconception that jobs are create before simple because people need work, at least in the private sector Jobs are created plain and simple because of a long-term demand for a product of service. With that said either the Obama administration lacks the understanding of very basic economics or they only understand the government model for job creation. There is a third but I hope and pray for all of our sakes that is not the reasons and that is the purpose destruction of the U.S. economy to create greater reliance on the government, and Obama.

And then promptly signed a 7.5 billion dollar bill for ADDITIONAL aid to Pakistan.

What is there a lot of out of work americans in Pakistian??????

How is it that he can sit down and think about creating jobs(which is just actually more BS) in america and come up with the idea to give 7.5 billion to Pakistan.

He needs to be stopped people before you have nothing left with which to stop him.

congress is so wrapped up in misdirection that they will not catch on by themselves.
It has to come from the people.

Yeah, the only problem is that this adm should have been thinking about job creation (not just summer jobs to funnel money through ACORN), instead of the spending spree they've been on for nearly a full year now.
